Worcester County Sheriff’s Office Press Release

On September 1, 2010, Deputies from the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop in the area of Market Street, Pocomoke, Maryland which resulted in the recovery of two handguns located inside of this vehicle. The operator of this vehicle was arrested and identified as Kevin Melson, Age 19, Stockton, Maryland. Melson was taken before a District Court Commissioner and subsequently released on a $10,000.00 unsecured bond. Members of the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Enforcement Team assisted in this investigation which is still ongoing.
