Democrat Primary -
Incumbent Davis Ruark brings 24 years to the job. With the most infamous crime in memory coming to a jury next spring, do Wicomico voters really want to change horses?
Ruark’s primary opponent (who has very little prosecutorial experience) has run a stealth campaign in reference to Ruark’s 2008 DUI arrest. Ruark has admitted he was wrong, asked the forgiveness of his family and the citizens of Wicomico County. If there was evidence that Ruark was mismanaging his office we would say, “Throw the bum out!”. That evidence doesn’t appear to exist.
Democrat voters thinking about voting against Ruark should go into the voting booth remembering two words – SARAH FOXWELL. Change for change’s sake isn’t necessarily good – particularly in this year and this race.

It would be nice if it were as simple as all that. I like Ruark, think he means well, and he fairly begged for a chance to put the perpetrator of Sarah's vicious murder where he belongs. That all has some weight.
But...Seth Mitchell may not come off as fiery and determined as Ruark, but he does have the benefit of years of legal practice, first as prosecutor, then as defender. He is not likely to prosecute if there isn't a good chance of conviction. In the long run he might be the better man.
It's not a simple decision to make.
Go Davis Go! Seth Mitchell has said that he doesn't beleive that anyone should go to jail, no matter what the crime. I respect that belief from a defense attorney, but it's not what we need as the State's Attorney!Davis is the best trial attorney out there - we need the fire and the commitment!

I have serious doubts that Seth Mitchell made that statement .. im sorry but anyone that did what Ruark did needs to lose their job no matter what .. or the shouldnt prosecute drunk drivers and thats not gonna happen now is it.

You like Seth Mitchell? Wasn't he fired from from the Public Defender's Office or asked to leave? Mitchell's a loose cannon who is about to implode. Police officers hate him or think he's a joke. Sam Vincent had absolutely no respect for him, regardless of what Seth Mitchell says.
Mr. Ruark has my vote 100%!!! I feel it would be a huge mistake for us to switch gears in the middle of the upcoming Leggs Trial!! I mean cmon people were either of these other candidates there during that devistating time? NO!!! Mr. Ruark is fully vested in this case and feel that he will make sure Leggs doesnt walk!!! I just want to see justice served for Sarah!!!! Davis Ruark is the man to get that done!!!
