No need for me to watch it, I already know I am voting for Matt.

Vote Republican!!

I am always saddened to see these comments. When I read these, I see that it's not about the best candidate for the job, it's just about the partisan politics.

I'm a Republican and I'm voting for Davis - the best man for that job!

Just Vote!

I'm a Democrat and I am voting for Matt-the best man for the job.

I agree. I am a registered Republican and I will be voting for Davis. Matt is a nice guy, no experience with criminals.

The only man for the job -- Davis Ruark!

As much as I feel there needs to be change in the State's Attorney's office, I think that given the circumstances, Davis is the best man for the job. He has a proven track record, and with the Leggs case right around the corner, we in Wicomico County can't afford to have a State's Attorney that needs a learning curve.

Matt is by far the best choice. He has experience and he will get the opportunity to gain more experience. It is time to clean house!!

Watching the forum now. The State's Attorney's position is not the place to learn how to do the job. Matt should have spent some time working as an Assistant State's Attorney under Davis Ruark before even thinking he can handle the job. Davis is the only choice for the job, no question about it. Lee Britt is a great choice when Davis decides to leave which I hope is a lot of years from now. Go Davis Go!

10:23How did Ruark get experience, by doing the job. The SA has to know the law, that's what you have to look for in a SA. Matt is a brillant man, with energy. He will be a fine SA. This won't get posted, but it's how I feel, strongly.

Everyone is leaving Seth out of the fun. Didn't he get fired from the Public Defender's Office? I know that he was forced out of Circuit Court and down to District Court, not by his own choice. What a total disaster he is. I hope someone takes a real, hard look at his work history. His glass house is about to get totally shattered! And to think that he has the audacity to claim that Sam Vincent and he were close! Sam is rolling over in his grave right now. Ask any of Sam's friends and colleagues what he though of Seth. They will fill you in.

10:23 I agree with you entirely on this one. Lee Britt is an upstanding individual. He is a good family man, great attorney, good Christian and by far a great candidate for the future State's Attorney and who knows, maybe, a higher position will be on the horizon for this young man. Davis, you did good when hiring this young attorney.

The sound was so poor I turned it off.

Thanks for reminding about the airing. I watched and learned a few things that I will consider.

Most of the experience is staying in the office if Davis leaves. If there is no experience in the office then that is Davis' fault. He has what 15 attorneys there? He should recruit experienced attorneys if he has none.

6:56am You are so right. The sound was awful and I couldn't get past that to even watch the entire forum. That's too bad for these gentlemen. What's up with PAC 14? They should be better than that.

Anyway, what I did watch I liked what Matt had to say. We need fresh blood in that office. Was Davis making faces when Matt and Seth were speaking? Looked to me like he was.

There's a lot I don't understand! People who say they're close to Maciarello say he's going to "clean house" and bring in all new people, leaving no experience. Maciarello says he has a good core who will stay, and then he stutters and says "I uh . . . hope they'll stay." Almost everyone will leave if Mitchell wins because he can't do the job, and no one respects him in the courts, in the law enforcement community and in the community at large. That leaves a State's Attorney;s Office with no experience and no talent in the middle of a LOT of serious cases. No matter what you might think of Davis (and I know him, I know he's sincere, I know that he's a good Christian and active in Church, a good sports Coach, very active in the community, and a good Husband and great father). If you decide to replace him, you will end up with absolutely no one who can handle the big cases. Other State's Attorney's Offices, the United States Attorney and some private law firms will end up with a LOT of talent. Such will be the loss for Wicomico County, and the people of this county will no longer be safe. Sorry for the rant, but people really need to see the truth for what it is.

I am registered Democrat but I can assure you I will not be voting for any Democrat's if I can help it. Davis Ruark's time is up and Matt you have my vote. If his past wasn't a problem his firing Sam Vincent took it over the top. He needs to go!!!!

Matt is not going to "clean house." That is just another political scare tactic. It is one of the oldest tricks in the book.

8:28 - Davis did not fire Sam. If you knew the truth, Davis and Sam were still closer that anyone will ever know even near the end of Sam's life. For anyone to claim that they were closer to Sam than Davis, they are total and complete liars and losers. Sam and Davis were like brothers, and yes as brothers they had some serious disagreements, but I worked with both of them, and they would have been there together to the very end no matter who won the elction. The last thing Sam wanted was to be turned into a "political tool". He had way too much class for that, and for any candidate to do that is way over the top. Stick to the issues the way Sam would have wanted it.

8:42 - The why did he say so in front of a Republican Club Meeting where 30 people heard him? Check it out.

Anonymous said...

8:49 Scare Tatic.

Sam was running to save the office and the profession. I worked with Sam for 15 years and let me say this, if he felt that he had to run then you know there are very serious problems in that office, none of which have been exposed to the public because no one will ask Davis in public about specifics.

Now Matt is green as grass but new blood is needed and he has my vote.

I guarantee you that if I said the opposite that I was going to vote for Davis and I said Vote Democrat you would have never chimed in. So with that said feel free to kiss my Republican TUSH!!

9:36 Anon I am saddened by comments that indicate that because you vote only party lines, so much so that you feel compelled to say to "kiss your Republican TUSH" when you say you will vote for Maciarello. That's a very high class remark so I'm glad you're supporting someone other than Davis. Yes, I am a Democrat. I voted for President George Bush, I voted for Senator John McCain (I admired him, but he ran a lousy campaign), I voted for Senator Lowell Stoltzful, I voted for Delegate Page Elmore, all of whome are friends as well as representatives - because they were the right people for the right job. That's what our political system should be. Now, that's my own view, but I believe that it's the right one.

I always thought Chip would have the job one day, quess he dont need the headache for that paycheck.

The sound was terrible. I had my TV turned all the way up and missed part of it.

I was 110% behind Sam. He is greatly missed. I think that Davis is the man for the position because he has to finish the Leggs' case. There has been too much work done on this case to let it slip through the cracks of the system. As Sam said, all the dots have to be dotted and all the t's crossed.

Miss you Sam!
