Carrie Dann writes: For the second time this month, the NBC/WSJ poll results show that the Tea Party has a net negative rating. In the latest poll released today, 36 percent of respondents said they have a somewhat or very negative opinion of the movement, compared with 28 percent who said they view it positively. That’s the highest negative rating for the nebulous political movement since pollsters began asking respondents’ opinion of it in January 2010. (Although it’s worth noting that the negative ratings for the Democratic and Republican parties – at 43 percent apiece – are still worse.)
The NBC/WSJ poll surveyed respondents in the field from August 26-30 – the height of news coverage of FOX News host Glenn Beck’s controversial “Restoring Honor” rally, which attracted scores of Tea Party adherents to Washington D.C.

9:42, you wouldn't have said the same if the numbers were different. And you sure wouldn't say the same on a post highligting negative Obama numbers in an NBC/WSJ poll
If they weren't on a roll of winning seats I might give it a second look. And the fact that they are a positive group trying to stop the crazy taxation in this country is not considered negative by rational persons. They are not really a group as much as a movement.

Did Harry Reid win ? What they are doing is cleaning house throwing out rino's and putting in conservatives. If they put a rino in what would be the difference? Perhaps you should check the political polling if you believe those personally I could care less about polls if they're a Democrat I'm not not voting for them this go'round! You should be happy if you believe your own rhetoric.
Just a bunch of people pissed that Obama won. They want small government when it's convenient (low taxes) but otherwise cheer for government intrusion (ban gay marriage).
And please take note conservatives: I'm not trying to call anyone racist, but when a group of predominantly middle-aged white people screams "we want our country back" following the election of the first black pres., it's not a far stretch for many minorities to (inaccurately) consider the party unfriendly towards people of color.

You can't have it both ways.The fact is Obama squandered his chance at being a great President instead of focusing on being a good role model for the black community he just used his color to bamboozle them. The race card was played?
I thought Obama's focus should be on protecting the country. And by the way, I think blacks are capable of choosing their role models on their own, no need for your approval.
And please look up the definition to democracy. Obama stated his plans, the people like his plans so they voted for him, and now he is undertaking those plans. Did I miss something?

1:18 and 3:55, please note that I included word "inaccurately" when it comes to the portrayal of the tea party as racist. Reading IS fundamental. The original post was about negative Tea party ratings. The tea party often unwittingly plays into that perception.
