Wow...really? No doubt this story was started by Republicans who will hopefully not be getting their huge tax cuts in the future!
No doubt in my mind at all!
I,personally think if the "small businesses" are hurting the economy it would be because of all the foreign owned convenient stores who opened probably with grant money and they're sending all their money out of the country!
Now, if THIS is what they're talking about, then maybe they have a point.

Typical Newsweek nonsense. So,if a company isn't growing it's a cancer?????..Look at all those dot coms that grew like wildfire and went under just as fast...same with the second and third tier lenders like Ameriquest. I am willing to bet that the estimated 17% of Americans without jobs would just love to be with a small and stable company that operated with sound fiscal policies.

with more and more small businesses being forced to shut their doors every day, I don't see how they can possibly be that big of a burden. walmart (aka huge business) pays their employees as poorly as they treat them, not to mention their lack of benefits. we are a small business that pays our staff well, cares for families, and offers every benefit we can. If that makes us a "cancer," so be it.
