Republican Establishment Backpedals

"Christine O'Donnell will be the next senator from Delaware," RNC chairman Michael Steele declared Wednesday morning. "We nominated a damn good Republican."

Really, Michael? What's this "we" stuff?

The Republican Establishment has been trashing Christine O'Donnell for weeks.

"Not a viable candidate-- not even for dog-catcher."

Even as recently as election night, the NRSC stated they would not provide any support to the O'Donnell candidacy.

But after Christine's website crashes from supporters trying to donate to her campaign, and she raises over $500,000 in one day, you suddenly get religion?

The "damn good Republican" you all backed was Mike Castle-- the one who votes with the Democrats as often as not.

WE THE PEOPLE nominated Christine O'Donnell.

And WE THE PEOPLE will elect her to the Senate. With you or without you.

You're more than welcome to help out-- but let's skip the snow job.

Let's all just get busy and make sure Christine O'Donnell becomes the next Senator from Delaware.

"we, the people"....I love that phrase....and I love it becasue of its origin and because it really does strike fear into every politician (and other government representatives, such as the police, judges, and department officials). Its who they really work for (serve---SERVE!), but lately, whether they are waiting on you at the DMV, writing you a ticket, lecturing you in a black robe, or promising that they will "lower taxes for the average American", they act like PUBLIC MASTERS, not public servants... power to "we, the people"!!

Christine O'Donnell was a bad decision. She will lose the general election and we the people will not be the worse for it. She has displayed poor character throughout her adult life. Unfortunately, the electable Mike Castle, sounded too much like a robotic technocrat, and was unable to shed light on her serious flaws. Our country will regret having a Senator Christine O'Donnell.
