The public should be very aware of the following. I apologize for being so far behind Folks but I have been extremely busy, (more so than I've ever been) and I'm trying to catch up.
The other night at the NAACP Forum, the people that DID NOT SHOW were as follows.
Mike Brewington
Chris Lewis
Matt Holloway
Mike Calpino
John Hamilton
Bob Caldwell
The NAACP plays a larger role each and every year when it comes to adding voters and encouraging their members to get out and vote. This disrespect of just not showing up, (yet many of these same names were at the Chamber of Commerce lunch forum the following morning) is completely out of line.
Mind you, I was told that Bob Caldwell was not invited, yet he called the NAACP that day and told them he would not be there as he was heading out of town to be with Family.
Are these alleged candidates afraid of the Afro American community? Clearly they have no respect for them, anyway. I'll close with, their names were called out to come forward and participate, (with exception to Bob Caldwell) so these candidates did NOT contact the NAACP to tell them they weren't going to attend. Shame On Them!

Thanks for sharing that information. Not that I was going to vote for any of these clowns anyway.
Joe, who were the candidates who showed up?
Most candidates were not invited. A few more were invited but declined. Isn't is disrespectful to show up to an event like this if you are not invited?
They are not scared to show up, they just don't want there names associated with a racist organization.
Seems like the NAACP did not want any tea party people to be there.
"Afro-American"? Is that politically correct anymore?
Maybe some were not invited because they are running for the district seats that the minority district cannot vote for, since Joe mentioned Caldwell wasn't invited and now someone says others weren't invited either.
Or maybe those representing other districts are going to be in a separate forum to make things manageable. There are a lot of candidates.
Before anyone faults the candidates or faults NAACP, get the facts. This is what is wrong with the place.
Bush would not attend their National convention either. That would make me vote for him even more.
For the record:
As long as we have separation of colors , such as NAACP , race will always be an issue. They have to stop the with this NAACP stuff. We don't have a NAAWP , but maybe we should have!
You forgot to mention John Baker.
Bush was the first president to go to the NAACP headquarters in person. He gets an unfair reputation as a racist because of his southern roots and his box of rocks brain - but he did more for the advancement of minorities in this country than any president before him.
While I don't believe that the Eastern Shore needs a NAAWP, it could use a sattelite office for the National Association for the Advancement of Stupid F'n Rednecks
9:57 Obama is making up new government agencies daily, write him a letter and perhaps he will hire you as the first employee.
Who cares. The NAACP is irrelevant anymore. Only looking out for their growing list of entitlements. How about the NAAWP. Oh, thats right, that would be racist.
I don't blame any of them. I wouldn't go either.
9:57 PM
You could be president of the rednecks.
As you will see in my email Joe, I did contact Mr. Penn and tell him I would not be able to attend the forum but would be happy to attend any other NAACP events that are planned. Hope this clarifies it.
9:57-Bush didn't have "southern roots". Box of rocks for brains, yes. But him and his entire family were born well north of the Mason Dixon. His father moved the family to Texas after he graduated from Yale to pursue his oil interests.
