Worcester County Sheriff’s Office Press Release

On June 15, 2010 at 5:50 p.m., a Worcester County Sheriff’s Office Deputy working “Smooth Operator” on Route 90 near Route 113, stopped a motor vehicle for speeding. Upon approach of the driver, the Deputy detected a strong odor of marijuana and conducted a search. A large quantity of marijuana was found in the vehicle. The driver and passenger were both charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

Arrested:
Driver Jonathan Edward Delozier 22 years of age from Port Tobacco MD,
Passenger : Taheim Aaron Gray 20 years of age, Waldorf MD
Both held on $25,000 bond

On June 19, 2010, a Worcester County Sheriff’s Office Deputy working “Smooth Operator” on Route 90 and Route 113 stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. During the conversation with the driver, it was determined that the driver had been drinking. The driver was given field tests and based on those results, the driver was charged with Driving While Impaired. The driver was also issued citations for negligent driving. Released pending trial.

Driver: Sophia Myong Park from Salisbury Md. 20 years of age.
Charged with DUI and Negligent and Violating license restriction

06/19/2010

On June 19, 2010, Deputies from the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the Route 707 Cottages in West Ocean City, Maryland for a reported disorderly subject. Upon arrival, Deputies observed a male striking a female in the facial area with his fists. The male was taken into custody after a brief struggle and charged with 2nd Degree Assault. While on scene, the female subject became loud and began to curse the deputies on scene causing a crowd to form. The female was then placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct.

Arrested:
Todd Caldwell Thomas 43 years of age Berlin, Maryland Held on $25,000.
Charged with 2nd Degree Assault and Disorderly Conduct

Cherly Courtney Magee Age 36 years of age, Old Bridge Road, West Ocean City, Maryland
Disorderly Conduct Released pending trial date.

On June 20, 2010 , Worcester County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to the area of Route 12 just south of Stockton for a reported disorderly party. Upon arrival, Deputies encountered a vehicle with a male subject operating it. Upon speaking with the driver, the Deputies detected a strong odor of alcoholic beverage coming from the driver. Upon completion of field tests, the driver was placed under arrest for DUI. Released pending trial
