Man Shot 13 Times Outside Baltimore Nightclub
BALTIMORE -- Tyrone BrownAn off-duty Baltimore City police officer fatally shot an unarmed Marine 13 times outside a nightclub early Saturday.
According to Baltimore City police, Tyrone Brown -- a 32-year-old Marine who has served two tours of duty in Iraq -- was shot 13 times at close range. He died a short time later.
Baltimore police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said the officer shot and killed Brown, saying Brown made advances toward a woman who was with the officer.
"After the advances, the officer and the individual exchanged words," Gugliemi said. "There was an argument, and the altercation turned physical. At that point, the officer pulled out his service weapon and fired multiple shots at our victim."
Brown's sister said she was there when her brother was shot. She said they were out at about 1:30 a.m. Saturday when they approached a group of people -- including the off-duty officer -- leaving Eden's Lounge, a nightclub in Mount Vernon.

That officer should be charged with MURDER. There is no reason someone should be shot 13 time being unarmed. The man served our country a piece of sh t like this takes his life. If a police officer is off duty than he does't need to be carrying a firearm.
Oh but they say even tho there off duty they are still on duty... what a joke...
The cop had probably been drinking. It is against the law for a cop to carry a gun while under the influence. He should be charged with several crimes in this case.
marines shouldnt have been trying to mess with the cops girl. aint sayin the cop is right, aint saying hes wrong either. either way, get alcohol involved in ANYTHING, and therell be problems.
What a shame, an American Hero dies at the hands of a thug disguised as a police officer. This foriegner should face the death squad.

I am sure he was. This isn't the first time for the cop. Read below.
"Guglielmi said Tshamba, a 15-year-veteran, shot a man in the foot after a confrontation while off duty in 2005. The shooting was found to be justified, but Tshamba was disciplined because he was under the influence of alcohol."
@946am
if he was acting like an idiot trying to pick up another guys girl, then yes. im pretty consistant at hating any drunken idiot.

anonymous 10:26, How do you know what really happened. There are plenty of women out there that bring these kinds of things on. Time will tell.
@joe
indeed, but isnt everyone hanging the first guy already? i appreciate you posting mine as well. whos to say they were even drunk to begin with anyway. i shouldve put IF in capital letters on my post.
If you or I shot a man 13 times for hitting on your girlfriend, we would be posting a HUGE bond...if we were allowed bond at all!! With great authority comes great responsibility....Cop or not, shooting someone for "making advances on your girlfriend" is murder. Put this one under the category of "civilians shot/killed by the police"...a statistic never reported...
This sounds like a murder case to me. The occupations of the 2 people involved are almost irrelevant. Except that the policeman has a "right" to carry a concealed weapon and the rest of us do not.
If the weapon had not been concealed, what are the odds that the dead guy would have simply moved on?
A concealed weapon makes this thing complicated. Why would a person out drinking with the girlfriend need a concealed weapon?
cops are the cowards that got beat up in high school on an ego trip.a 2 tour marine would have considered it a privelage to school the glorified security guard.(cop).the use of the issued weapon,MURDER.should of took his lumps like a man,there's a word for this,wussy with a P.this should get very interesting,decision will definately set a pressident.
Just another reason why people should be allowed to carry a weapon, to protect themselves from the jackbooted thug cops!
I'm reserving judgment on this. Let's not rush to a decision on this case before we know as much as possible.
the officer fired his service weapon 13 times striking the victim 9 times in the torso and the groin.
The article said the same officer shot a man in the foot while off duty & under the influence in 2005. Hitting on someone's girl or not shooting an unarmed man 13 times is out of line. It is no surprise you cant get a CC permit in MD. The cops in Bmore couldn't defend themselves.
Whatever happened to "duking it out"? You go outside, go a few rounds,shake hands and make up over a drink.Are people really that soft that they would rather kill someone than take a fall in a fight?Off duty his gun should be locked in his car if he carries it off duty.
His prior shooting of another civilian, while he was also off-duty, was found to be "justified"(???) !!, which doesn't surprise me at all. Who determined it was "justified"? Other cops!!! EVERY shooting is found to be justified, in the back, 46 times, in handcuffs, laying on the ground and unconscious....it doesn't matter...cops give THEMSELVES awards for passing out the most tickets and then brag about about what they've done to the citizens they're sworn to "protect"...look up Prince George's County police shootings....the cops over there shot people at rate that even alarmed other cops!! You think black people are afraid of, and despise, the police because of some unfounded RUMORS that they'll get killed??? They get whacked by the police on a regular basis for reaching for their wallet....this cop is gonna get off on this and he WILL shoot somebody else...next time, maybe you...
