GOVERNOR MARTIN O’MALLEY TO DELIVER COMMENCEMENT REMARKS AT STEPHEN DECATUR HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION

ANNAPOLIS, MD
– Governor Martin O’Malley will deliver keynote remarks at the graduation ceremony for Stephen Decatur High School in Worcester County tonight. The ceremony, which takes place at the Convention Center in Ocean City, will feature more than 340 graduates and their families.

Over the past three years, Governor O’Malley has committed record investments in Maryland public schools, a school system that has ranked #1 in the nation by Education Week Magazine for the last two years. The O’Malley-Brown Administration secured a record $5.7 billion in K-12 investments for fiscal year 2011, including $25.9 million for Worcester County public schools. This represents a 27 percent increase in Worcester County compared to four years ago.
