I have read so many negative comments about the various towing companies in the area and all of the back-biting until I am sick of it! Here's what I have to say...
We are all in business to make money and provide for our families. I have personally dealt with just about all of the towing companies in Salisbury when I worked in the automotive field. I have found all of them to be helpful and reliable and feel that I have a good relationship with them. I grew up with Tommy and Eddie Tindall, my daughter used to babysit for Jeff Simpson, I worked at Pusey's and 56th St. Towing, dealt with William's Towing and Bower's Towing and Grant's at the dealerships where I worked. They are all good people. Everyone needs to just get along and stop this crap! I know that there are some companies that are not on the up-and-up and I will not mention names...you know who you are. Yes, there is price gauging by some companies and that really is not good business. The bad practices of a few companies are going to cause a big problem for everyone in this industry. It is time for us all to pull together instead of tearing each other apart. I feel the sorriest for the drivers (not the owners) if fees are capped. Those guys are barely surviving now, since they only receive a percentage of each tow that they do. They have families to support. It is hard to find an experienced driver who is reliable when you can't afford pay them what they are worth. They work their butts off in the heat, snow, ice, rain and bad weather. If prices are capped, the owners will be hurt too. We have rent/mortgages to pay on the storage lots, taxes, fees and insurance, trucks to pay for and keep maintained, etc. It's time to stop feuding and start working together. Help each other instead of hurting each other is what I'm trying to say. Life is too short to be feuding all of the time. Fair is fair, right is right and wrong is wrong.

Nancy just let me say you guys are great. Adkins is great. As someone that has dealt with all the tow services, some just take their sweet time getting there. It also amazes me the varied charges. One is 75 dollars cheaper then someone else. You guys need to stay competitive is pricing. I will not name any service. There are a couple that are total rip offs.
Didnt Delmarva Towing have to lay off their workers because times were getting so tight!?

I own a business where I worked with Williams towing for many many years up until about 7 or 8 years ago where their service went downhill. I heard here recently someone else had taken over and it was getting a little better. I work with Simpsons now and they are good people as well as Adkins. Delmarva and Grants seem to want to change their prices depending on their moods it seems.
Too many egos in this industry for any unity. When rates are capped at ridiculous lows then everyone will want to unite , but not til then.
I would like to see the bashing stop thats for sure. Its lame, the public could care less, and it makes us ALL look bad. If any single person voices anything then they become a target and they dont want to be the bad guy and make enemies (like it matters) so nothing gets said unless its on a blog under an anonymous name.
The rotation list is getting longer and longer. Every company that comes on pushes back your next call back a day or two or three.
With close to 25 companies on the list of course rates will be high !!! The more they allow onto the list the higher the rates will go due to lack of volume and growing overhead. If anything should be capped its the amount of companies allowed on. Only allow new ones every 2 or 3 years possibly. Whats the city thinking would have happened ? All the tow boys would play nice??

This is the current city rotation list. There may be a couple left out, but as you can see it's very long for such a small city. You can bet that more will come on because the companies already exist theyre just waiting for approval from the P.D.

I want to say that Tindalls does a great job too and he is a very nice person. I knowned him for years and they have been towing for me for years. It seems like a few companys around here have lots to say ,but i think they need to worry about their own towing companys. Thanks

This person DOES NOT work at Simpson's Towing. This person obviously has a shop or some sort or business and has business relationship with Simpsons, Grants, Delmarva, Adkins, Williams etc. If you read to fast you may be confused thinking they work for Simpson's Towing and simpsons towing is bad mouthing delmarva or grants towing, that is not the case.
