Not sure what the big deal is. If he can afford it, that's his choice. As well, it's none of our business.

Good for Gore. He deserves it. Probably would have been doing better if 2000 elections weren't stolen from him.
Here is what the big deal is: 1. Al Gore is a hypocrite. He complains about those of us who drive SUVs, but owns two mansions, both of which use 10 times the about of energy that I do per year. 2. Where do you think Al Gore gets his money. After he left the vice presidency, he went to work for a venture capital firm, Kleiner Perkins. His job? Raising money for green technology. Now don't get me wrong. I am all in favor of Al Gore making huge sums of money. Good for him. But Al Gore makes more money by creating more demand for green technologies. So what he wants to do, is transform the economy of this country to the tune of billions, if not trillions, of dollars, so he can make more money. That I have a problem with.

Just cause he owns two mansions doesn't mean he is burning energy at both all the time. Don't be an idiot...better yet don't be a jealous idiot. If he can afford to buy two mansions then more power to him...he has earned the money to do it.
