Funny that our labor union member Mayor will proclaim "Public Works Week" in the same meeting where he will discuss raising health insurance costs, giving furloughs to and for the 4th consecutive year giving no raises to public works employees. During those 4 years Police, Fire and Engineers have all enjoyed pay raises. And don't forget purchasing like the Fire Boat (has that ever been used?).

Skip the pronouncement Jim, we know what you really think and feel about the people that work in Public Works. Perhaps it is time for them to get a union... I don't see how you could vote against it, you know, since you are a union member that gets a raise annually.
