Wonder if the Tea Party will complain about all the federal funds going to Maryland? Those are tax dollars adding to the deficit after all...
Storms gone.
9:40. Yes, they will and gladly. Maryland does not need more money. It needs jobs and business.
It is adding to the deficit and a waste of money. The storm was months ago, I don't notice any need of federal money now. Obama wants to give away the farm, if he isn't stopped soon we will all suffer from his actions. Taxes are going up and more jobs will be lost. I suppose 9:40 thinks this is a good idea, they have to be a tax and spend liberal.
I wonder if Mare Liarton has enough sense to seek the funding?
Yea, 9:40, I'm complaining. I'd complain a lot less if the Fed. Govt. would tax the citizens less and let the states take care of themselves. We can see what happens when the Fed. Govt. gets involved when we look at the Katrina disaster - nothing. Gave out money like it was water and it was squandered. A tremendous waste. States should prepare to help themselves but they don't because they have learned to depend on their rich Uncle to bail them out. Guess what.......Uncle isn't so rich anymore because he wastes money he doesn't have. Now the taxpayers are supposed to foot the bill? Yea....we can see how thats working in Greece. We're right behind them. I'm appalled at the level of ignorance that exists among those who can't see what's right in front of their faces.
Major disaster? It snowed, we made it through it, it melted, now it's warm. It's called WEATHER! We don't need disaster funds or the bureaucracy that comes with them.
Yea 9:40; I support the tea parties.
I don't see any snow ! More government slush fund vote buying !
If O'Malley wasn't another tax and spend liberal, he would send it back. There is no emergency. We all know he won't do that though-he'll find some new program to piss it away on. What would the accomplices in the media be saying if George Bush had taken three months to hand out "emergency" funds?
it is comiing up on the end of the year they have to spend the money or they won't get it next year. that how gov works
