A group of Americans who believe the federal government overstepped its constitutional bounds in passing the recent health-care legislation is rallying allies to a bold and controversial initiative: state nullification of the federal law.
"Now that health-care reform has been signed into law, the question people ask most is, 'What do we do about it?'" said Michael Boldin, founder of the Tenth Amendment Center, in a statement. "The status quo response includes lobbying Congress, marching on D.C., 'voting the bums out,' suing in federal court and more. But the last 100 years have proven that none of these really work, and government continues to grow year in and year out."
Instead, the Center is reaching back into the history books to suggest states take up "nullification," a controversial measure that would essentially involve states saying to the federal government, "Not in our borders, you don't. That law has no effect here."
The Center is partnering with WeRefuse.com to announce release of model nullification legislation for states, called the Federal Health Care Nullification Act, and a call for 100,000 Americans to join a state-by-state petition to prompt legislators into action.

I would gladly take a civil war BETWEEN govt and citizens... If it were to take out ever last govt official or all the bad ones... Seems to me like the post says, nothing can really ever stop the govt from growing... If that is the case, we have 2 options... 1-let them take all of our god given rights away. 2-fight them for every inch and take it back...
The fight has just begun ! Civil war is an option or we could split the country in two .

During the Civil Rights era of the 1950s-1960s, many southern states tried to resist federal laws concerning school integration and voting rights. It did not work.
"States Rights" was the rallying cry then also.

When the government refuses to listen to the overwhelming majority either they get voted out or you have a revolution . No way is this like integration .

During integration, the federal government refused to listen to the majority of the white citizenry of the southern, and some northern, states and imposed their will.
I grew up in Cambridge, MD and lived with the National Guard patrolling the streets during most summers of the 60s.
The fear ,anger and rhetoric I see locally over President Obama's programs feels very similar to that time.
5:40 I agree with the rage how ever it's not about race or inequality and the people who where for integration were in the minority big time . The difference here is the people as a whole are angry at the government as a whole because they are trying to take over control of there lives this anger is much deeper and more wide spread among all people and could become a civil war very easily.
How have education and testing done since integration ? better or worse ?

6:17 All I can tell you is before integration and forced busing I was an above average well adjusted student who was very comfortable and safe in my school environment after seemed like chaos constant harassment and exposed to a level of people that come from a lifestyle that was foreign. Some became my friends as they were trapped also in their lifestyle and recognized they wanted out of. Bottom line my education suffered therefore affecting the rest of my life forever .
