ANNAPOLIS, MD – Governor Martin O’Malley will honor the winners of the 2010 Black Saga Competition at a recognition ceremony for the contestants and their supporters. The Governor will present citations to academic teams from elementary and middle schools around the state.
The Black Saga Competition is a learning activity that tests students’ knowledge of the African American experience as a part of American history. The Competition is based upon Black Saga – The African American Experience: A Chronology written by Dr. Charles M. Christian. The book documents the African American experience in the United States from colonial times to the present in brief entries arranged in chronological order.

Where is the White Saga Competition? Hispanic? Chinese? and we wonder why racism still exists in America.
There are many examples this kind of racism throughout our country. If anything like the White Saga Competition or White Entertainment Television or even the NAAWP was ever created there would be holy hell to pay.
Absolute racism and it needs to be done away with before this country will ever be color tolerant.
