Update On Car Stolen From Church

Joe- Just to give an update on my daughters car that was stolen from church on Sunday 03/07. I located the car myself today and reported the location to the salisbury police. The good thing is the car was unharmed just a little empty on gas. I located the car in the parking lot of the townhouses on the corrner of Jefferson and Kent . My daughters purse, bookbag and a tool set was all that was missing. Approx at 5 pm this afternoon I received a call that had found her social security card at the christian shelter but at this point nothing else has been recovered. I just want to thank everyone who helped with looking for her car... She is one happy teenager !!!!

Thanks for all your help

better get a fraud protection alert put on her credit. If they had her SS card, they could try to get credit in her name. Identity theft.

Those townhouses and that area of Jefferson Street is one of the most dangerous places in the city. There are also numerous code violations in that parking lot and all down the street. I have complained to the Salisbury Police Department and Neighborhood Services and Code Compliance numerous times and they do nothing about it. I never see the code compliance people going through that area and I rarely see the police department patrolling that area. There are abandoned cars in the parking lots, driveways, street and back yards. Several of those cars have out of state tags and have been in those townhouses for months. We have had shootings and murders there and nothing has changed.

Help is on the Way!!

12:05 have no fear... I got the car back... you one of those people looking for someone else to blame. No the ignition wasnt busted, There was a spare key on the car but then again alot of cars have spare keys hidden on them you know for the people that like to think outside the box and have a alternative way in the car incase their keys get locked in it. And why would I CONSIDER(take note of the correct spelling) looking it that area, well me finding a stolen car there speaks for itself... DUH !!!!!!!!!! Next time try not to sound stupid !!!!!!

901 you are so right on!I used to live in that area and those townhouses should just be razed and burned down-nothing there but Section 8 hootchies and their drug dealing boyfriends.Kids hang out all day in that parking lot smoking dope and drinking.I got a notice to move my car just one day after I took the tags off but people in those apartments had trash all over the lot along with old furniture so the dealers could sit between customers.Yes,that is the busiest drug corner in Salisbury,if the police would watch it during the week they would be amazed at all the workmen cruising through to get their lunchtime crack fix.The problem with code enforcement is that multiple people own those townhouses, there isnt just one owner and some of the units are owned by slumlords who dont care.
