I own a toyota and I will buy another one when my current one dies but what exactly does this prove? That as long as there is nothing wrong with your Prius, it will work?
What I wonder is this: The car in this video was in proper working order, what happens when it malfunctions (like what seemed to happen the other day near San Diego)? In that instance, that guy said he was pressing on the brake and clearly it didn't "cut off the gas to the engine" as the video stated. Something (computer? software?) seems to have gone very wrong with the San Diego car.
How many times have you heard about people hitting the wrong pedal. People drving into walls or into a business. Now if it happens and the owner drives a toyota.. all they have to say is it malfunctioned. I think alot of the malfunctions are coming from the drivers of these cars being idiots.
The guy in San Diego more than likely staged this whole event. He is in debt to the tune of $700,000.00 and he is currently 5 payments behind on his Pruis five payments! He like alot of americans looking for a fast buck to bail him out of his economic misery. I really believe if all these claims against Toyota were really investigated we would find a union connection or an Obama crony!!
My Dad's Lincoln Towncar was made in America by Americans using 70% domestic parts. My Honda Element was made in America by Americans using 70% domestic parts. Which one is an American car and which one is a foreign car?
So you think it is better for a few executives at ford to get bigger bonuses while mexican workers make your car than it is for a few foreign executives to get bigger bonuses while american workers build your car? I for one care more about the jobs than the profits. America needs more jobs and less rich executives.

Why are they not doing that on a closed course?

amonymous 3:01, watch my 6 pm show tonight and you'll get your answers.
People who buy these junk cars from foreign companies are UN-AMERICAN!
I don't think it's the vehicle at all, don't think Toyota does either,
If you can't stop it...Turn Off The KEY!!!

4:19, I drive a Honda. It was made in Ohio. I used to drive a Chevy. It was made in Canada. Which one is "un-American"?

The answer is the one who's corporate profits stayed in the U.S. There's a lot more to being American than geographic location of assembly.
