I hope that a really good one means that you are going to break the story of Parsonsburg fire chief Steve White being served with a peace order today for assualting a member of the Parsonsburg Fire Dept. while on the clock as the Pittsville paramedic. Assualt charges were also filed today in this matter.
Joe, You should make the 6:07 comment a post tomorrow. Another waste of taxpayer dollars as the chief at Parsonsburg is making almost $30.00 an hour as a paramedic on both both Parsonsburg and Pittsville payrolls while excercising his duties as a volunteer chief.
As I understand, this makes him one of the highest paid small town paramedics in the state. This would also make him the highest paid VOLUNTEER chief anywhere.
10:42 why does it matter. You cannot be chief unless elected. Somebody must like him. I would venture to say the majority of volunteers have paying jobs. Why are you condemning him because his paying job is paramedic. What is the other side to this story. There always is one.
I don't think that anyone would condemn him for having a paid job as a paramedic. In fact, I hear that he is a pretty good one.
The other side to this story is that while on the clock he is an employee and not a volunteer.
Therefore, he should not be excercising his authority as a volunteer chief while on the payroll as a paramedic. But most importantly, the assualt of a member in the firehouse while being paid to do his job is wrong, In fact, it is wrong for this to happen during volunteer time also.

Pretty good money for a volunteer, do you agree?
