INCIDENT: Involuntary Manslaughter

LOCATION: 1500 Block S. Division Street, Salisbury, MD 21804
NARRATIVE: On February 20, 2010 at 0223 hours the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office Received a call indicating an individual had been run over at a residence in the 1500 block of S. Division St. Initial responding Deputies located an individual trapped beneath a vehicle and Salisbury Fire and EMS was activated. The individual was transported to PRMC where he was pronounced dead.
The victim and suspect are familiar with each other and had been involved in an argument earlier. Alcohol was a contributing factor as well. As the suspect was attempting to leave the address she believed her vehicle became stuck on snow. She returned to the residence to solicit help and when she returned to the vehicle she discovered the victim beneath her vehicle. A call to 911 was immediately placed and emergency response was initiated.
The victim is identified as Jeremiah Parkhurst W/M 28 YOA of the 1500 Block of S. Division St.

This a tragic situtation, both of them are so young, My heart goes out to the victims family.
it appears it was a true accident and its kinda of hard to charge some one for such charges when there was no malice or will ful intent, she has enoght to live with

Hey MOTORMOUTH since you seem to know so much about him then why does the State of Maryland have him listed as Jeremiah even as far back as 2000? Regardless the young man didn't deserve to die and my thoughts are prayers go out to him and his family.

I personally don't believe it was a complete accident, whether she was drunk or not. And if she was willing to get behind the wheel intoxicated this time, chances are she has done it before and would do it again. It was only a matter of time before she injured/killed someone. My prayers go out to the victim's family.
Wow you people can be so negative. Everyone one of us has been drunk at one time or another and done something stupid. Unfortunately the level of her stupidity was severe, and now she will have to live with this for the rest of her life. It says they were arguing - perhaps she was just trying to remove herself from the situation and allow some space. Take a d@mn second to put yourself in someone elses shoes. You weren't there, you don't know what happened. My prayers go out to both Jeremy & Erin.
Maybe since.... people including myself were there.. we may know a little more than you.
She was trying to leave the situation because they were arguing....She didnt know he was there and certainly did NOT do it on purpose!!! Anyone who knows Erin knows she is a kind-hearted, loving, and docile person and would never knowingly hurt ANYONE!!!
