Meanwhile, Jehan's slave, a freakish hunchback named Quasimodo, falls in love with the young gypsy queen, Esmeralda, who in turn is in love with Phoebus, a gentleman soldier and a rogue with the ladies. Phoebus's gallant side is awakened by the beautiful peasant girl, and he soon returns her love. Unknown to him, his love is dangerous; Jehan lusts for Esmeralda and is willing to kill the handsome soldier to possess her. But the hunchback will tolerate no harm coming to her, even if it comes from his own master. ( J. Spurlin)

Is there some message in the marquee " HARDACRE " ??? LOL

No subliminal message, anyway. The marquee is from the Hardacre Theater in Tipton, Iowa. They turned their old downtown theater around with an arts group using donated funds and it's now the home of an annual film festival that generates a big bunch of money for the little ag town.

Gee, sounds like something we could have done in our downtown. But, instead, we've got another big tooth missing in the downtown landscape and a bunch of money that.... where is that money, anyway?
