Merchants Can't Complain About The Downtown Plaza

Yesterday, after I had completed all of the projects scheduled for the day, I went to the Downtown Plaza and took the snow blower up one side and down the other to make sure there was a clear path for people to walk through. Mind you, there were a couple of areas so packed down I couldn't break through the ice but they're few and far between. For the most part, (90%) it is plenty clear now for shoppers and business people to safely get through. The City is busy enough trying to do catch up work.

Its a shame someone like you has to clear the snow for these property owners. They should be out there doing it themselves.

Ranger, I firmly disagree!

The Barber Shop is very reasonably priced. Parker Place has deals all year round. The restaurants on the Plaza offer better deals than anywhere else around Salisbury.

Now, if you're talking about Lawyers and legal fees, you may just be right there.

Shop Downtown for once and you'll see I'm exactly right and you seem to be the complainer here.

Joe,
Thanks for clearing the plaza. The City has performed miserably with snow removal in all of the storms this year. No fault directed at the employees, because they take direction from their supervisors. The streets are terrible after all the days after the storms. The City gets an F on my report card.

My car is going to be totally out of whack after riding down the side streets to get to certain places of business. Just yesterday trying to get to the Bank of Delmarva on Eastern Shore Drive where the ATM machine is literally tore my car up and this is a busy city street and I pay TAXES dearly to the city. Got to admit the county has done a lot better on the snow removal .

I have had a snowa plow go down this stsreet 4 times 3 of which was on saturday..all these times with the blade to the snow plow UP. It did not do a bid of good to run over it again (one way traffic, ruts, ice under the snow) cars have to back up an entire block to let someone thru. Cars slipping and sliding. Snow piled in the streets where people have cleared parking spaces. Why not put the blade down on the scrapper and make the streets passable. Yes we are in salisbury. I know they have a big job but WHY run over the snow/ice covered streets several times and not scrape it down?

i dont think its a good idea for any trucks to try to plow up ice.
