Salisbury Police Department Press Releases



On January 26, 2010 at approximately 2:47 am, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to the area of E. Main St. and North Salisbury Boulevard for the report of an assault. Upon arrival the officers met with the victim, an adult female who advised that she had been assaulted by a male friend. The victim advised that they had been arguing and while walking in the area of Broad Street the suspect pushed her down onto the ground and took an amount of U.S. currency from her. Officers located the suspect several blocks away and arrested the suspect without incident. The victim was transported to the Peninsula Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries to her hands and knees.

On January 26, 2010 at approximately 11:20 am, Officers of the Salisbury Police arrested the below listed suspect on an outstanding arrest warrant for theft. Investigators obtained the arrest warrant following the investigation of the theft from a local music business which was reported on January 20, 2010. The investigation revealed that the suspect had purchased music equipment on several occasions from the store with fraudulent checks for the purpose of selling the equipment. A quantity of the stolen music equipment was recovered for return to the business.

On January 26, 2010 at approximately 5:38 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police were on routine patrol in the area of Snow Hill Road and received information from a witness regarding a juvenile spray painting a business. The officers responded to the Pepsi building on Snow Hill Road and observed the below listed suspect spray painting the side of the building. The subject fled but was apprehended after a foot chase. The juvenile was spray painting obscenities on the building and the damage to the building was in excess of $ 500.00.

On January 26, 2010 at approximately 6:20 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police Department received a call to respond to an apartment on Fairground Drive for the report of a juvenile assaulting a family member. Upon arrival it was found that the below listed suspect had become involved in an altercation with a family member following an argument. The altercation resulted in the suspect burning property of the family member’s on the stove of the apartment and the suspect assaulting his mother.
