Footage of President Barack Obama's appearance in Boston on Sunday is being used in a forthcoming television ad for Massachusetts Senate candidate Martha Coakley, Democratic officials said.
Administration officials are largely pessimistic about her chances against the insurgent Republican, Scott Brown. White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs told reporters on Air Force One as they returned from Boston on Sunday: "I said this on Friday when I was asked, and I'll say it on Sunday on the ride home — we think Martha Coakley is going to win this race."
