Republican Scott Brown now leads Democrat Martha Coakley by five points in the race to fill the vacant Massachusetts Senate seat, according to a poll released Monday.Public Policy Polling found that Brown is favored by 20 percent of Bay State voters who voted for Barack Obama in 2008 and that the majority who plan to vote in the election oppose the Democratic health care plan.Brown is ahead 51 percent to 46 percent in the poll, with big support among the state's unenrolled, or independent voters, who favor him over Coakley by 64 to 32 percent.

Who would have thought the President would have had to drop everything and rush to stump for a Democrat in the Bluest of Blue states? I heard Chris Matthews say earlier that the Dems should have been able to run anyone and not be in jeopardy of losing to a conservative...he also said it shows the people are tired of being told what to think by the government. AMEN
You Democrats, and to a much lesser degree the Republicans haven't had any choice for your candidate in years!
These party bosses decide who's going to be put on the ballot.
Especially with the Democrats, you don't get a choice. When the person gets elected, they take orders from the Democrat leadership.
So much for a representative republic.

This is also important because Mass. also has a version of health care reform in their state. So, It appears as though the people of Mass. don't like the type of health care reform now being shoved down the throats of the nation. If they lose Kennedy's old seat, then the Dems are in real trouble in the Fall elections. I hope the Republicans can come up with a decent candidate to run for president in the next presidential election. Bob Dole in '96 and McCain in '08 were old duds who didn't inspire anyone.
This will save America from legislation that would turn us closer to socialism. It will also expose all of the dumbocrats as they will do their best to subvert the constitution to ram the health care bill down our throats. I only hope the Republicans do not think that this is a vote for them and their failed Bush policies. It is a new day thanks to the tea party groups.
