Whoever backed out on this has the potential of "costing" the Salvation Army hundreds if not a couple thousand dollars in donations by cancelling at the last minute.
How about a DONATION to them to make up the difference.
This is really an awful thing to do to them.
Maybe you should donate your time like the rest of us 1:33 insted of complaining about it...
Chill out 1:33 ever think there may be a good reason...family emergency...illness. Why don't you step in a donate some of your time as I plan to do!
It was Courtesy Chevrolet who back out of all 4 days.
1:33 says...
You don't know how much time or money I've donated. Don't make assumptions when you have no facts.
A BUSINESS dropping out the day before they are scheduled to ring 4 days - isn't a "family emergency" - it is poor planning and a disservice to the charity...and that's a fact!
Who do we call to fill in these last minute spots?
I am sure that Courtesy Chevrolet is very wealthy and should be willing to pay the piper for such bullcrap as this.
Ray Nordstrom is usually a stand up guy - I bet he doesn't even know about this.
CALL 410-749-RING (7464) TO FILL IN ONE OF THE SPOTS AT SEARS. Thank you!
Do not judge. There has to be a good reason for them having to back out. People step up to the plate. I am thawing out now after spending 4 hours outside ringing the bell. At least this is inside.
I do want to add that I enjoyed every freezing moment wishing people Merry Christmas.
Try it.
Figures, Courtest Chevrolet. They should just close that place down. They give Chevy a bad name to begin with. I attempted to do business with them needless to say I will never even think of going there ever again.
I heard that Courtesy is ringing 4 days next week. They apparently had a lot of people out with the flu this week.
It sounds like the Salvation Army was able to get others to cover the open spots eventhough it was at the last minute, so it all worked out and the Sears kettle had volunteers.
Let's not turn this into a bashing of Courtesy as a dealership.
