Publicity Antique Appraisal Event

Saturday, Oct. 24th, from 1-4, The Friends of Poplar Hill Mansion will present an Antique Appraisal, "What's It Worth?, Ask the Experts. On hand to value your family treasures will be Ann Von Forthuber, a certified personal property appraiser, and auctioneer, who has provided values for James Monroe's presidential china as well as Sevres from the Iranian Embassy, Mr Craig Flinner of televisions's Antique Roadshow, and owner of the Craig Flinner Gallery in Baltimore, specializing in antique posters, lithographs, and fine art. Paul Mint, artist, Illustrator and antique dealer, specializing in antique toys and art, who appraised the Fats Domino collection to the rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and Howard Simons, an antique restorer who studied under Pru Savoy, noted author, historian & antique restorer. Mr. Simons specializes in furniture, coins, collectibles, tools and machinery. Admission price is $15.00 per person, all proceeds going to the restoration of Poplar Hill Mansion. You may bring 1-3 items for appraisal, all appraisals are verbal only. Refreshments will be available for sale by The Friends of Poplar Hill Mansion. Don't miss this chance to value your heirlooms!
