Maryland’s Population Growth Slowest In 28 Years

http://www.mdp.state.md.us/msdc/Pop_estimate/Estimate_08/StatePopEst_08.pdf

Shocking:

Maryland’s growth rate was also well below the bordering states of Delaware (1.3%, ranked 13th), and Virginia (0.9%, ranked 20th), as well as the District of Columbia (0.7%, ranked 31st).

If no one understands why Maryland is not growing it may be that so many people are leaving. Seniors do not get a break here in Maryland.
Second, the taxes are high for everyone in the State of Maryland.

Business and Industry is not encouraged though tax breaks, so, why would Maryland grow?

Growth is dependent upon many things, jobs, business, industry, tax base, affordability, personal and real estate taxes, schools, transportation, entertainment, accessibility. And Maryland is not doing well in many of those categories.

To many here now, no growth is great. What do we want Md to become, New Jersey?
