HERE It Comes-H.R. 45! Get Ready!

GET THIS OUT!

HR 45 Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sales Act of 2009

Please send this to everybody on your list... this is Obama gun control by secrecy

Very Important for you to be aware of a new bill HR 45 introduced into the House.
This is the Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sale Act of 2009..
We just learned yesterday about this on the Peter Boyles radio program.
Even gun shop owners didn't know about this because it is flying under the radar.
To find out about this - go to any government website and type in HR 45 or Google HR 45 Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sales Act of 2009. You will get all the information.

Basically this would make it illegal to own a firearm - any rifle with a clip or ANY pistol unless:
...It is registered
...You are fingerprinted
...You supply a current Driver's License
...You supply your Social Security #
...You will submit to a physical & mental evaluation at any time of their choosing
...Each update - change or ownership through private or public sale must be
reported and costs $25
- Failure to do so you automatically lose the right to own a firearm and are
subject up to a year in jail.

....There is a child provision clause on page 16 section 305 stating a child-access provision. Gun must be locked and inaccessible to any child under 18.

The Government would have the right to come and inspect that you are storing your gun safely away from accessibility to children and fine is punishable for up to 5 yrs. in prison.

If you think this is a joke - go to the website and take your pick of many options to read this..
http://www.opencong/ress.org/bill/111-h45/text

It is long and lengthy. But, more and more people are becoming aware of this.
Pass the word along.

FAILURE TO DO SO AT YOUR PERIL!

Any hunters in your family - pass this along.

Peter Boyles is on this and having guests. Listen to him on KHOW 630 a.m. in the morning.

He suggests the best way to fight this is to tell all your friends about it and "spring into action". Also he suggests we all join a pro-gun group like the Colorado Rifle Association, hunting associations, gun clubs and especially the NRA..

This is just a "termite" approach to complete confiscation of guns and disarming of our society to the point we have no defense - chip away a little here and there until the goal is accomplished before anyone realizes it.

This is one to act on whether you own a gun or not.

The Second Amendment... . America's original homeland security

This is obsurd! I have a constitutional right to bear arms and I will continue to do so! They can come and inspect my storage all they want, but the moment they step foot on my property I will arm and defend myself and my rights as a F***ING AMERICAN! Please, everybody, speak out against the monster we call "government"!

Other than civil disobedience, citizens must support the strongest lobby for our 2nd Ammendment rights, the NRA. Anyone that is not a member, please join.

I am a member, and I have signed up most all of my family. Currently approximatley 4,000,000 are members, the NRA says 6,000,000 is the magic number and would provide the financial and political support necessary to prevent such intrusive and freedom denial action from becoming law.

Thank you for disclosing this on your blog Joe.

The 2nd amendment is not about hunting or target shooting. It is about protection from tyrants and criminals.

that link isn't working for me. hmm...

Typical garbage from the Obama administration. People should focus on this just like they have the health care issue. Call congressmen and senators and let them know in no uncertain terms how you feel about this. This is un-american and needs to be stopped. Obama is destroying this country.

"The 2nd amendment is not about hunting or target shooting. It is about protection from tyrants and criminals."

How about we look at the actual wording, shall we?

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

That's what it says.

Now, we can have an argument on the merits or flaws of this particular bill. I'm definitely more tward the NRA than the Brady Bill crowd, trust me.

But you do a disservice to your cause when you attribute wording (or intent) to the Second Amdenment that isn't there.

Wow8:08. Its so obsurd that you lost the ability to spell.

Absurd, indeed.

Better hope they do not add a spelling test to gun buying.

Yes Duck, let's look at the wording.

"A well regulated militia" - every state has the right to a well regulated militia to keep govt. in check and for our own personal security.

"being necessary to the security of a free state" - another reference of citizens being allowed to keep govt. in check and our security.

"the right of the people to keep and bear arms" - this assures that we the people can buy rifles and pistols at our own discretion, under NO govt. control and allows us to wear them in public as we so choose.

"shall not be infringed" - these last 4 words GUARANTEE the govt. has no say in whether I can buy and carry a weapon if I so choose.

Pretty plain and simple wording if you ask me but feel free to explain to me how YOU interpret these words.

Maybe its my liberal tendencies, but I see nothing wrong with this bill. Keeps guns away from children, and out of the hands of criminals and loonies.

My theory is , if you can't keep a gun safely, you shouldn't have one. If you've broken the law, you shouldn't be allowed to have a gun. Makes sense to me.

I don't see why the NRA is getting crazy about this. If you're a law abiding citizen who practices safe gun storage, there shouldn't be a problem for you.

Chelsea Reid

You are a child, and you annoy me.

Chelsea - we don't need a Nanny checking up on us... thanks though...

Somehow I seriously doubt the government is going to actually go checking up on people though. I think a whole lot of hoopla is being made over nothing. No one is taking your guns away from you, they're just making it harder for people who shouldn't have a gun in the first place to get them.

And 208pm, I'm not a child. Don't try to treat me like one just because I have a differing opinion. I'm not insulting other posters opinions, so I'd like to think I can expect the same courtesy.

Chelsea, I hate to tell you, but you've come to the wrong website expecting that kind of civility.

I simply like to deal with facts. Since this debate quickly devolved into one that lost the context of what teh Second Amendment says, I thought it might be helpful to remind everyone exactly what it says.

You've given your interpretation. I disagree with its premise, let alone individual points.

YOU SAID:
"A well regulated militia" - every state has the right to a well regulated militia to keep govt. in check and for our own personal security.

I SAY:
I see no reference AT ALL to the reason for a militia, it simply says there is a need for one. You're the one projecting an inherent fear of a federal government.

YOU SAID:
"being necessary to the security of a free state" - another reference of citizens being allowed to keep govt. in check and our security.

I SAY:
Your paranoia is showing, again. I would argue that the security in question is national security. The thought of a large standing army was exactly what the Founding Fathers didn't want - they wanted state based militia units that could quickly be deployed where needed. The idea that a state militia was somehow encouraged by the Constitution to be used against the central federal government is absurd.

YOU SAID:
"the right of the people to keep and bear arms" - this assures that we the people can buy rifles and pistols at our own discretion, under NO govt. control and allows us to wear them in public as we so choose.

I SAY:
Wow, you're reading an awful lot into those words. Under your reading, the average citizen should have the ability, nay, the right, to buy crates and crates of AK-47s with armor-piercing rounds, because that's what John Adams would want. You currently don't have that right. And you didn't have it under Pres. Bush, or Bush, or Reagan, or Nixon. And it was Reagan's press secretary, James Brady, that started the current push for limits on handguns. Where was your paranoia about the federal government 2 years ago?

YOU SAID:
"shall not be infringed" - these last 4 words GUARANTEE the govt. has no say in whether I can buy and carry a weapon if I so choose.

I SAY:
It doesn't guarantee "no say." If it guaranteed "no say," than there could be no federal or state prohibition against minors, the mentally ill, or convicted felons owning guns. Under your interpretation, the government wouldn't even be allowed to take guns away from current prisoners.

Let's just say you and I interpret the Second Amendment differently.

Chelsea I really don't care about
your age. But the truth of the matter is it is just an excuse so the government can invade your home under the bill get in your house and take your guns. What about all the people that have no children in their house. It applies to them too. Don't you think all the police officers with children have sense enough to store their weapons so their kids can't get them. Also in Maryland when you buy a hand gun they have to supply you with a lock and key that makes the weapon impossible to use when in place. So this is just another ploy to take your guns away. So that the communists can take over our country without any opposition. Wake up. Some of you people can't see the forest for the trees.

The main reason I switched to the Republican Party and joined the NRA a long time ago was because of a gun control bill back in the 70's or 80's. I have no guns at the present moment but was just mentioniong to a friend the other day, I think I need to go get a hand gun. This is all the more reason to have to do it now.

To Chelsea: The only people who will have guns when this bill is passed will be the criminals. they have them and are robbing and shooting everyone in site.

Gun control will never keep the guns away from the criminal who are the one that shouldn't have them in the first place.
