Delmar Held Their Fun In The Park This Past Weekend

Fortunately on Saturday the rain finally disappeared and Delmar was able to hold their annual get together. Unfortunately there wasn't enough time for all the water to drain off the property but everyone was able to get around without getting too wet and the kids seemed to love it. Many were splashing in the water and having a good time.

Both Delmar Maryland and Delaware are moving in the right direction cleaning up the streets and reinvesting back into their community. We're seeing road improvements as well as sidewalk and curb restorations. As long as they keep plugging away at the infrastructure, Delmar will continue to be one of the best investments and communities to invest into over the next 20 years.

Of course the Delaware side has the advantage of much lower taxes than anywhere else in Wicomico County Maryland. Princess Anne and Delmar are the Towns to watch in the near future.

Ill tell you I went to Assateague island this weekend and had a blast. If you arrive after 9:00A.M. its $3.00 a person for Maryland residents and $4.00 a person for out of staters,(tacky for an extra dollar). The beach is beautiful and not crowded. The snack bar is fantastic, I had a sliced pit beef sandwich with horseradish and coleslaw that was killer and only $5.99,(not bad). One good thing is that you can walk a few yards down the beach and fish while the wife sunbaths. This is a fun day out that wont break your wallet. All the kids seemed to be having a blast and the scenery wasnt to shabby itself,(if you know what I mean). Its a good way to spend a day.

Joe,
Thank you for coming out and covering this event. There were quite a few cameras around this year from blog writers to youth writers and even the DT's was there (amazingly enough.
It was a fun day in all, even though it was wet.
The Chamber has had this same situation before for this event and the people come out anyway.
The final numbers are not in yet but it looks pretty good.
Thank you to everyone who came out in support of this event and mark your calendar for next year (1st Saturday in June).

Thanks again,
Greater Delmar Chamber of Commerce

At one point, I saw Biff Lee driving that little train. Is it almost election time Biff? Kudos!
