Wicomico County Sheriff's Office Press Releases

Incident: Violation of a Protective Order
Date of Incident: 18 April 2009
Location: 33000 block of Shavox Road, Parsonsburg, MD
Suspect: John Richard Taylor, 31, Parsonsburg, MD

Narrative: On 18 April 2009 at 1:51 AM, deputies responded to a residence in the 33000 block of Shavox road in Parsonsburg for a reported Violation of an Interim Protective Order. Deputies had been to the same residence earlier in the evening for an argument between residents there which resulted in John Taylor being barred from the residence pursuant to an Interim Protective Order granted by a District Court Commissioner. When the deputies returned for the subsequent visit, they learned that Taylor had returned to the residence after being served with the order in defiance of the order. Upon the arrival of the deputy, Taylor had already left the residence.

The investigating deputy obtained a warrant for Taylor’s arrest and he was found several hours later and apprehended. Taylor was transported to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance, Taylor was released by the Commissioner on Personal Recognizance.
