Dave Suiter, "On The Road Again"

Hi Folks,

Left Moab,UT early Monday heading west. Made it to Fallon,NV., a 640 mile run. Tuesday it's on to Carson City, Tahoe and Sacramento.

Temps varied widely in Nevada. 70 to 80 on the high desert to 34 through some mountain passes.

Pics are as follows;

Sunrise over Arches National Park just north of Moab.

SanRafael Swell western Utah was settled in 1880s. Can't imagine scratching out a life here.

Little town of Scipio,UT

Entering the Great Basin. Flat for 100 miles.

Looking west towards Fallon.

Range looking south west of Austin,NV. Sign going into town says "Welcome to the Most Friendly Town on the Most Lonesome Road in America. At one time on US50 I went 60 miles without seeing signs of life except for a few cars going east. When they say "No Service for 130 miles", believe it.

Dry Lake west of Fallon at Salt Wells. About 10 miles long.

More tomorrow,

Dave
