Salisbury Police Department Press Releases

On April 3, 2009 at approximately 5:25 am, Officers of the Salisbury Police Department were on routine patrol in the area of N. Pinehurst Avenue and observed an open garage at a residence. In close proximity to the residence, the officers observed the below listed suspect in possession of property that appeared to have been taken from the garage. The officers made contact with the owner and verified that the property in possession of the suspect had been taken from the garage.

ARRESTED: Julius Zorro Parsons, 50 years of age Salisbury, Maryland

CHARGES:
Fourth degree burglary
Theft (over $ 500)

DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking CC # 200900011027

On April 3, 2009 at approximately 8:00 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police arrested the below listed suspect on an outstanding warrant for a theft that occurred on March 6, 2009. An investigation revealed that on that date the suspect was involved in the theft of a welding machine from a business on Columbia Road, in Salisbury.

ARRESTED: Nicholas Leonnard Lodowski, 21 years of age Salisbury, Maryland

CHARGES: Theft (over $ 500)

DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking. CC # 200900007408

On March 4, 2009 at approximately 10:43 am, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to the Food Lion Store on Nanticoke Road for the report of two (2) shoplifters that had fled from the area in a vehicle. The officers located and stopped the vehicle which was occupied by the below listed suspects. Employees of the Food Lion positively identified the suspects and advised that both had been seen by employees taking food from the store without making payment. A large amount of the food was recovered from the suspects and the vehicle.

ARRESTED #1: Thomas Alvin Matsatsos, 49 years of age Delmar, Delaware

CHARGES: Conspiracy to commit theft (under $ 500)

ARRESTED #2: Teresa Ann Bozman, 48 years of age Delmar, Maryland

CHARGES: Theft (under $ 500)

DISPOSITION: Both released to Central Booking CC # 200900011260

On April 5, 2009 at approximately 1:41 am, Officers of the Salisbury Police Department were on routine patrol and stopped a vehicle operated by the below listed suspect on Baker St. for traffic violations.

While meeting with the operator, the officer observed a smoking device on the front seat. The smoking device was checked and was found to contain suspected cocaine residue.

ARRESTED: Leslie Rochelle Marshall, 39 years of age Salisbury, Maryland

CHARGES:
Possession of cocaine
Possession of CDS/paraphernalia

DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking CC # 200900011381

On April 5, 2009 at approximately 11:20 am, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to a residence on Parsons Road for the report of a domestic assault. Upon arrival, the officers met with the below listed suspects who advised that as the result of a domestic type argument, both suspects had assaulted each other. Both suspects were taken into custody and as a result of a search, incident to arrest, suspect # 1 was found to be in possession of suspected cocaine.

ARRESTED #1: Otto Alexander Jones, 35 years of age Salisbury, Maryland

CHARGES:
Second degree assault
Possession of cocaine
Possession of CDS/paraphernalia

ARRESTED #2: Carrie Chappelle Whitney, 29 years of age Salisbury, Maryland

CHARGES: Second degree assault

DISPOSITION: Both released to Central Booking CC # 200900011402

On April 5, 2009 at approximately 5:59 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to the Boscov’s Department Store at the Centre at Salisbury for the report of a shoplifter. Upon arrival, the officers were advised that store personnel had observed the below listed suspect taken clothing from the store without making payment. The suspect was stopped and the clothing was recovered.

ARRESTED: Tyra Dominique Elam, 18 years of age Princess Anne, Maryland

CHARGES: Theft (under $ 100)

DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking CC # 200900011441

On April 5, 2009 at approximately 6:52 am, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to a residence on Canvasback Court for the report of a domestic assault. Upon arrival the officers met with the female victim who advised that as the result of a domestic type argument, she had been assaulted by the below listed suspect.

ARRESTED: Joel Arnold, 32 years of age Salisbury, Maryland

CHARGES:
Second degree assault
False imprisonment
Reckless endangerment
Malicious destruction of property

On April 6, 2009 at approximately 1:32 am, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to a residence on West Road for the report of a domestic assault. Upon arrival the officers met with the male victim who advised that as the result of a verbal argument, the below listed suspect had assaulted him.

ARRESTED: Marie Ostimene Fabre, 46 years of age Salisbury, Maryland

CHARGES: Second degree assault

DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking CC # 200900011481
