Pork In The Park Entertainment This Weekend

Tons of Entertainment Lined up for this Weekend’s Pork in the Park Festival

(Salisbury, MD) Pork in the Park, a three day festival from Friday, April 17 to Sunday, April 19 in Salisbury’s Winterplace Park (6737 Blue Ribbon Road) features an exciting music line-up that will get underway as soon as the festival gates open.

The Crawdaddies will usher in the festival on Friday, April 19 from 4 PM until 5:30 PM. Their music infuses Cajun, zydeco, roots, rock, and reggae into a groovy sound. Following the Crawdaddies, Paul Lewis will bring all the ingredients of a true rock show including volume, passion and charisma to the stage from 6 PM to 8 PM. Put on your cowboy boots to gear up for the country sounds of Jennifer & The Mixx from 8:30 PM to 10:30 PM.

On Saturday, April 18, Higher Hands will infuse the morning with the sounds of vintage funk and soul from 10 AM to 11 AM. Big Cam & The Lifters will bring you back to your youth or help you discover the songs of yesteryear from 11:30 AM to 1 PM. The Delmarva band, Crossroads will kick off the afternoon with the sounds of southern rock and blues from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM.

Tom Principato will be playing from 4 PM to 5:30 PM and is sure to dazzle the crowd with his remarkable guitar playing skills. Smokin Gunzz will take the stage with a hard-hitting Southern blend of classic and hard rock elements from 6:30 PM to 8 PM.

Topping off the night will be the 96 Rock Battle of the Bands competition. Hosted by 96 Rock’s Whiskey and JJ, the competition will feature the sounds of Riot Act, C.I.A., Order 66 and David Andrew Smith Band (DAS Band) all of whom will be vying for the opportunity to open the Ocean City Air Show on June 12, 2009. The Backfin Banjo Band, known for their fun music and sing-along performances is on tap from 11 AM to 1 PM on Sunday, April 19. Paul Cullen will rock the stage from 1:30 PM to 3 PM with his bass guitar beats. Playing from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM, On The Edge will bring the festival to a close. Their wide variety of pop hits will have you wishing the festival would never end.

In addition to its packed entertainment line-up, Pork in the Park also offers great food, unique vendors and exhilarating rides. Barbeque experts come from all over come to participate in a BBQ competition judged by certified Kansas City Barbeque Society representatives. There is something for every member of the family. Yeah, it will be so much fun. We can all go watch people attending who have fat hanging over their waistlines, women with breasts hanging down to their knees and those that look pregnant stuff their faces with all the different kinds of Pork. I mean isn't that all we think about, stuffing our fat faces with food. Lots of fun.

While at the Pok Festival if you want good food try PHAT BOYZ CATERING they had the best pulled pork anywhere!!!!!! I can't wait
