This is hysterical. You have to try this. It is absolutely true. I guess there are some things that the brain cannot handle.

This will boggle your mind and you will keep trying over and over again to see if you can outsmart your foot, but you can't. It's pre-programmed in your brain!
1. Without anyone watching you (they will think you are GOOFY!!) and while sitting at your desk in front of your computer, lift your right foot off the floor and make
clockwise circles with it.
2. Now, while doing this, draw the number '6' in the air with your right hand.. Your foot will change direction.
I told you so!!! And there's nothing you can do about it! You and I both know how stupid it is, but before the day is done you are going to try it again, if you've not already done so.

Okay, I now feel like an idiot. My foot, is smarter than me. WTH?!
It only works if you make the six in the air from the top to the bottom. If you make it starting at the bottom then up it follows the pattern of the foot, and therefore there is no change in direction. I happen to be one of those people I guess that writes the number six from the bottom up. At least that's what I found!
It works for the left foot as well :)
like anything else, if you practice for a while you can do it. I have been practicing for 2 hours a day for the last 3 months and I almost have it down. I would expect that a drummer could get it in les time.
