Well written Mr. Harrison. It continues to amaze me how these people think our land is their land. It also amazes me that the likes of John Groutt and Michael Pretl are part of the problem. They both live in the rural area on acreage that use to be farm land and now that they have theirs, no one else should be able to live where they desire. Hypocritical is the word of them
Pretl is a boob, plain and simple. John Cannon, Bill McCain, Sample-Hughes and MacLeod don't have to worry about my vote next election. They are not worthy of a vote.
Id like to see them take my land i got enough amo to hold off the National Guard for at least a couple hours.
Everyone should come to the public hearing on April 27th at the Civic Center at 7 pm to voice their opinion. The farmers will be there.
Don't forget us landowners. We are coming to defend our property rights too. Can you believe that 4 people on the council will vote to take our rights away from us? They had better think long and hard before they do. This will haunt every single one of them until they no longer exist.
McLeod and Hughes has nothing to gain or lose from their vote, not sure about McCain, he just seems to be green to the core but Cannon should not vote of this issue. His family stands to benefit tremendously from this change because they own huge amounts of land in the core.
Cannon will vote to benefit himself. Get him off the council.

The first thing this city needs to do is do away with the Metro Core Farce. Bubba and Company keep taking advantage of that concept. His explanation is that by allowing the city to keep annexing we are saving farmland and forest? Well if that is so then what is the land they are annexing? Farmland and Forest? Why is it ok to develope farmland around the city, but it is wrong to develope land out in the County. Sounds to me that Bubba is trying to make this the County of Salisbury.
Here is a novel idea Bubba. Have you ever heard of Urban Renewal. Don't you have some ghetto's in the city that should be redeveloped. Oops, did I say ghetto's as in plural? My bad. Salisbury is ONE ghetto!
I dont know who is leading the current council, but there are some really bad choices being made. I listened to all of them pre-election. I dont think there is one of them that has kept their word. Cannon is without a doubt the worst thing to ever happen to this county. He will not get to ride some powerful coat tails next time around. I think they have wiped the dung off of thier boots.
I dont hear much out of Barkovich or Prettyman. I think the worm has turned and the worm is Cannon.
I know of one local Franternity that will work hard to see at least four of you gone.
That is just crazy. I'm glad to see that the one's that held their ground are the ones that I have voted for in the past.
