INCIDENT: Burglaries

DATE: March 23, 2009

LOCATION: Whiteville Road / Pittsville Road

NARRATIVE:

Three suspects in numerous local burglaries & thefts from vehicles have been arrested in Virginia Beach this weekend. The suspects were identified through investigation and then fled to Virginia. Suspects were in possession of a stolen truck which was found in Virginia Beach Hotel by the Virginia Beach Police. The suspects were also in possession of stolen property from Virginia Beach and Wicomico County. Suspects were arrested in Virginia Beach. Robert Larry LeCates, W/M 27 yoa, Pittsville, MD
Erica Uff Derr, W/F, Pittsville, MD
Juvenile, W/M 17 yoa, Pittsville, MD

CHARGES: Burglary, Theft, Theft Scheme

DISPOSITION: LeCates & Derr arrested on VA charges and held on detainers for MD

I agree, I am glad that Sam let two other detectives get the credit for the arrests. We all know who solved this one. Sam and Horace are like the three amigos but missing the third amigo. Great Job!!!!

THERE HAVE BEEN SEVERAL BURGLARIES ON WHITESVILLE RD., BUT NONE OF THE LAW ENFORCEMENT WILL LET THE RESIDENTS KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON. IT MAY GIVE THEM A LITTLE RELIEF TO KNOW. YOU WOULDN'T BELIEVE SOME OF THE THINGS THESE PEOPLE ARE STEALING FROM OUR HOMES.
