Worcester Happenings:

At the last FOP Lodge 50 meeting, Reggie Mason attended and requested support for his election as Worcester County Sheriff in 2010. He stressed that all efforts be made OFF DUTY, not in uniform and not using county vehicles. Two years ago Joel Todd is rumored to have used his staff to place yard signs and request support while on duty and while driving county vehicles.

Reggie wants to make sure that there is no hint of impropriety during his campaign.

Last night around 10 there was a shooting in the Girdletree area.. 17 yo male, "self inflicted." He was transported to PRMC awake and talking at the time but things aren't looking too good. Worcester CBI was called out.

The reason is because Mr Mason isnt in that seat now. Joel was already in as States Atty, and he can tell his subordinates what to do. Mason isnt in right now. It would be no different than Joe having 10 employees and running for a county seat. If you told them to go place out signs, they would do it because they work for you.

I worked with Reggie during my tenure with OCPD and he was always a great LEO. Was one of the first, if not the first, to have a K-9 dog. Reggie would definitely be an asset to the WCSD. Good luck Reggie. (No disrespect to the present Sheriff who has done an admirable job)

The 17 y.o. male is currently in ICU & is responding a little. Please keep him & his family in your prayers.

The REAL issue is that Joel's troopers were on the county parole... taxpayers were paying for Joel's election campaign and that ain't right.

Chuck Martin is the best thing to happen to this county's law enforcement efforts in 20+ years. More than 20 years with the Berlin barrack of the MSP and 16 years as a stellar county sheriff. He will always have my respect. Reggie served as his Chief Deputy and has the respect of everyone that wears the badge. Myself included.

When Mr. Anonymous (one who is ashamed to use his/her name) asks what Reggie Mason did ..... obviously has NO clue. Mr. Anonymous has no idea what the Worcester County Sheriff's Office was like when Reggie joined as a Deputy Sheriff. Mr. Anonymous obviously has NO idea how much that agency grew with Reggie as Chief Deputy. So my advice to Mr. Anonymous is to go ahead and support whichever Candidate he/she chooses but Please don't run down the good reputation of a Dedicated, Honest, Hard working, Well Trained, person like Reggie Mason. I challenge Mr. Anonymous to bring forth the qualifications of the person he/she thinks is best qualified.

Another Anonymous says that Sheriff Martin was the best thing to happen to Wor. Co Law Enforcement ..... know what ? You may be correct. Chuck Martin has the Respect of all Law Enforcement Officers that know him.
Sheriff Martin was in fact retired from MSP Berlin. Sheriff Martin also understood that the responsibilities and duties of Sheriff were, although simular in some respects to MSP, totally different in other respects and Sheriff Martin surrounded himself with Chief Deputy Reggie Mason, Capt. Tom Jones and Lt. Stuart Murray ...... individuals who KNEW what the responsibilites and duties of the Sheriff are. Between these three people there were a large number of years of experience within the Sheriff's Office. They were Sheriff Martin's command staff and they obviously served him well, hence his Good Reputation as Sheriff. Sadly, the years have taken it's toll and Chief Deputy Mason has retired, Capt. Jones has retired and Capt. Murray is slated to retired in the near future.
What other candidate has the training, knowledge and experience of a working Sheriff's Office moreso than Reggie Mason?

Chief Deputy Mason did boil and sell hotdogs. He was responsible in raising enough money by boiling hotdogs, to buy a K9 Bomb Dog for the Sheriff's Office, saving the County taxpayers a lot of money.
He was responsible in raising enough money by boiling hotdogs to share the profits with Charities that helped residence in need. Did you want mustard on your hotdog ??

If Chief Mason was concerned about impropriates while in uniform, then why is he pictured in uniform on duty on his web page campaigning in the 707 Bar and Grill? Strange says one thing but does another…
