I am fortunate enough to have a few sets of Cardinals near my deer stand. They often fly into my feeder and eat the corn. They are beautiful to watch and make the time pass.
Outstanding! Another hunter who has enough love and respect for the outdoors to find things such as these worthy of committing to memory.
I can't tell you the number of memories I have of sitting in a duck blind watching a handful of ducks landing on a pond. Or owls gliding low over a meadow and then lighting on a branch just feet from me as I sat in a deer stand. I have no pictures from a camera - just memories that stir primal urges to return to those peaceful places I knew as a younger man. Urges I've regrettably learned to suppress and replace with running a business and providing for a family. In my mind there was no way to balance both. So much has been gained through my endeavors - but at what cost?
