Andromeda Nightclub Back In The Spotlight

Former Owner Robert Orgain vs. the Licensing Commissioners and Chief Webster, one of the defendants.

THE COURT OF SPECIAL APPEALS

WEDNESDAY, March 04, 2009

Courtroom No. 2
No. 03101/07 Robert Orgain et al. vs. City of Salisbury, Maryland et al.

I personally wonder IF this case ever received the local attention it deserved. Sort of like the K.C. Tilghman case that never truly saw the light of day in the Daily Times. Tell us what YOU know Folks.

what beef do they have? they ran a shady place, lots of shady things happened, drugs, you name it. loads of cocaine and ecstasy were readily available. it was a club built on the potential for ecstasy use in the area, and when that fizzled out, the local african-american population started coming, they couldn't handle it, and lost control of their club. what could the city have possibly done wrong there?

Yup it was like a Rave Joint. Lot's of drugs and I think a gang shooting in the parking lot had their liquor lisence revoked or suspended.

hey 8:53 and 9:59, did you ever go there? did you ever purchase drugs or E? BTW, drugs are available at EVERY bar..Brew river, cactus club, green turtle, breaktime and market street.

I served on a jury for a drive by shooting there. It turns out the bouncers had a grievance with the person and beat the heck out of him, chunked him out the door then his buddy's decided to pop a couple of rounds off on the way out of the parking lot.

You can find trash in almost every bar/club but I really liked that place. Salisbury just can't seem to handle clubs like that as there are no real dance clubs.

If someone would make it a private club with annual dues that would give them a reason to revoke membership and thus hence keep the trash out.

dont think making it a private club would help much. They would still be pissed off after you kicked them out and would likely just sit out in the parking lot and shoot some more people

They was rumor that some SPD guys tried to exstort money from them ??? There were many things happening in and around that club. Like they were taking maney from the good ole boys od Salisbury Bars. This angered the Mare and her pocket croanies. The Delmarva mafia is alive and well. You dont have to Italian to be part of organized crime. When a public official corrupts themselves by "Taking Care Of Their Own" I think that is a form of crime. The last name Orgain is not an Eastern Shore name. "Scum River" was starting to have their thug nite and the Amdromeda cut into it. Funny even the local drug task force worked cases out of there. Its not who you know!! Tell me the last time A major "White" drug dealer was caught in Wicomico County. Oh thats right white people dont do drugs. Who is protecting the money men behind the 40-90 plus Kilos in our county monthly. Ray Charles can see what is happening here. Maybe the "A" was allowing dealing at the club and they were not part of the Delmarva Dixie land mafia. Stick your head in the sand and keep believing there are no major plares in this county. The D.E.A. should stand for "Dont Even Ask". What was the last major case they had ??? Ocean City 2nd largest city in Maryland during summer months. NO keys of Cocaine there. Hmmmm Somebody is so dirty a bath in acid will not clean the stench off. The question is who. If you know who, post it here. I think it would be cool to see just who might be watching out for who. All the clubs in Salisbury are loaded with dope. There is no shortage here. Hey its just money right?? We need to bring the fight right here right now!! There needs to be a regional task force. maybe not bang the drum so loudly when you get an ounce of weed, somewhere there is a bale that came off of. Well that is my rant for the day. Thanks Joe. Oh yea to those of you that are hiding behind a public official to do your dirty work there are those that do know who you are.

Hugs not Drugs.

I recall that place having all-out brawls almost every weekend. No wonder they lost their liquor license. It was known as a thug club.

Bob Orgain had very little to do with the club He let Ken,Kieth and Bobbijo screw that bar up.Right idea bad judgement in management style. And you are right about the drugs, there in every bar and the people doing them are people who live and work with you.Young people, middle aged, black, white and green. Its a fact.

I really hope that they take the city to the cleaners......They Screwed that boy around BECAUSE HE WAS HURTING/KILLING BREW RIVERS Business and as well all know Thats not going to happen...Check your facts people look and the complaints and the time frame....If it wasnt for Brew River giving away all those drinks to the police and liquor board (Boy I bet Greg Rickards line his pockets on Brew) While your at it why dont you look into those people that were basicly exstoring people that own bars....I know Rickards and the Mrs. got alot of compt meals and drink

anon 6:35,

You make some pretty strong accusations, got any proof?

IMHO when the kingpin at the bar on Snow Hill Rd was busted up, he had the Salisbury market tied up. No murders, no busting heads, if you owed you had a favor to do, be a mule and get a pickup. Not defending them either.

After that ring was busted up it attracted drug dealers (gangs) from bigger cities to come here and fight over the territory and the big money that there was a market for and little supply. We busted one huge dealer now we have 25 smaller ones all packing heat.

the owners claim the police never came to help them when they had shootings there...they also claim the police were riding around the parking lot too much, kept patrons from going inside...can't have it both ways!!

I was a bartender there and most of the blame has to be put on the owners. They were nice people in the light but in the dark they were horrible...If they weren't using drugs themselves then it wouldn't have been so heavely used in the club like it was.
