A Touching Local Story About A Dog Named Sox

"I am an 8 month old lab/beagle mix and my Daddy is in the military and is being transferred out of the USA and I can’t go with him. I have a microchip, all my shots, I am house and kennel trained. I love to play ball and tug of war. I am free to a good home and come with my kennel, leash and toys. Please help me find a good home by calling Cory at 501-425-9851. Call today, my Daddy leaves on January 16th."

I told my friend that my guess is that Sox won't last one hour on this Blog. Let's see what happens.

Is he good with other dogs? Will the owner want him back when he returns?

11:38 – Sox is great with other dogs. Since we don’t know when his family is coming home, we are seeking to find a permanent new family.

Any experience with Sox around cats?

Joe- Just wanted to say I referred a friend to the Humane Society when she was looking for a new home for a dog they could no longer care for. I did so based on the attention you gave the dogs for adoption right here on your blog. She found out yesterday that a family is anxiously awaiting to adopt her dog and has been in several times just to visit. Keep up the great work and I am sure Sox will find a loving home in no time.

God bless Sox's Daddy!
We're going to try today, but are not optimistic, even if we're 5th in line.
Last year we lost our beautiful Black Lab to renal failure from chinese melamine in his dog food.

Man I feel obligated to take him even though I have two already. Sox's Dad will be serving me, I'm sure there's a line to give that Po' guy a good home. He'll still miss Daddy though. Salute and I'm sure you will find the perfect fit Dad! God Speed

Joe,
God bless you for posting this story about Sox. Yesterday our daughter emailed us the story. We called, spoke to Sox's Daddy, and made arrangements to meet Sox today.
It was love at first sight with all of us. He's staying! We are so grateful to have him in our home. You see, 3 days before Christmas we had to put down our old girl, Brandy. She would have been 14 next month. We were devastated, as my husband & I considered her our "last kid at home". Our daughters were all teenagers when we got her. They are all now mothers.
Sox is our best late Christmas present ever!!
Thanks again for posting these animals that need new homes, and keep it up!
