Is it just me, or have you noticed it too?
Every time I turn on the Discovery Channel, the Learning Channel or the History Channel, there is yet another show being promoted about the end of the world?
Last weekends lineup was enough to scare anyone to death. There were shows about 2012 and the end of the Aztec calendar.
There was a show about Nostradamus, and his prophesy about 2012.
Then there were the 'Bible Code' guys who believe that the past present and future are hidden in some sort of mathematical code within the letters of the words in the text.
Last but not least there was the show about a giant asteroid plowing into the earth, they have an exact one in mind, named 'Wormwood' (isn't that a word in the Bible too?) that is set to make a pass by the Earth in ....2012!
Ooh, and I almost forgot!
The biggest most active Volcano on the planet that just happens to be called Yellowstone National Park has experienced over 500 earthquakes since December 26th 2008. It is estimated to go off every 65,000,000 years and that should be around....2012!
I am starting to wonder about all of the media around many of the things that we find important.
Are they trying to scare us to death?
It reminds of the movie 'Wag the Dog'.
Keep the public focused on one thing while 'We' do another.
So what do you think?
Is this coincedence?
Is this misinformation, meant to scare us?
Or do you think it's real?
I'm going to take the position, that there are a lot of valid points brought forth in many of these therories, but, I am very suspicious as to why there is so much attention brought to it now?
Remember, Y2K? Nothing ever happened with that, and look how many millions of dollars changed hands because of the fear instilled in the unknown.

You know what ? After the way obama has stolen the presidency, I really dont care if the world ends tomorrow.Because as far as I care now, the world ended when obams was elected.
Just look at all the evidence, The Bible tells us these things will happen,, NOW we get a President whose name rhymes with things that are evil??? There are pictures of him in Muslim garb nonetheless!
If you cannot see these are the end days than brother you are hiding,,, All I can advise, Is hold your family dear and stay POSITIVE about things you do,, Going to church is NOT going to help.. The world is where you make the peace with GOD, GOD is everything He Is LOVE. This place is going to Hell Really fast and we NOW have the man to really run it into the hell it belongs in! Wymzie, I think that kind of media misdirection happens all the time. But, this end of the world craze is less sinister than all that. The broadcasters know that people will bite when they hear doomsday theories. Heck, I actually caught myself watching that yellowstone show! (And I couldn't help but thinking, that their scientist in charge of watching the volcano sure has an easy job, and talk about job security!)
Anyway, I think these doomsday theories are just easy programming that they know people will watch. As far as media misdirection, watch out for sensational news stories on big news outlets (murders rapes etc.) during times of political activity, and you'll know that the blinders are being put on you.
They do this every new year on TV.
When the world ends, the DT will have a story on it right after the Weekly World News prints it...
These guys do themes like shark week and the like all the time...no worries!

Its simply armageddon week on the history channel. They have space week (my favorite) in the summer and bundle a bunch of shows together about the subject. i guess they decided that armageddon week would attract attension and curiosity. And because we are here talking about it, it looks like it did lol

It's a little freaky. I can get a bit overwhelmed by it all sometimes. But if it is true, there's nothing we can do anyway.
although it may look that way according to science and the times....NOBODy knows the day or time or minute, he will come like a thief in the night...NOONE NOT Jesus nor the angels in heaven only God himself knows. Yes, I can feel it. My senses have been awakened by studying and analyzing recent history and running a parallel of events with the Bible and prophesies stated. The world as we know it is close to the end. Obama is the Anti-Christ who will unify all people and rule the world the final years. We are told in revelations how diseases with no cures will run rampant,terrible storms, deteoriation of people's faith in God,etc. Look at our country's poor economic status, decay of morals, fly-by-night churches who sing songs that do not patronize God, where people dance and portray actions of a sexually and stimulating mood, etc.People have the mindset that it is OK to do as they wish and under the guise of religion. We will be entertaining this subject on a more frequent basis as the final days draw closer. People who are truly living the life of Christ will be saved while all others will perish. Until later and life goes on.
I beleive that when I finally end That I will be accepted in GODs' kingdom, until then I prefer to be of free will.
I dont want to spend my last three years here on earth worrying how bad obama, osama, yomamma, what ever call this guy , is gonna rip the American people off.

Many predict some significant changes to our poles are going to occur. It is also noted that the last time this happened, many beleive according to data that Alaska originally was near the Equator.
