Fernando Guerrero vs Gabe Rosado On Again Off Again

Gabe Rosado, (top right) just can't make up his mind. One minute he's ready to fight Fernando Guerrero, the next minute he's scared to death of him. Today they're using the excuse they don't want their fighter fighting Fernando at 158 pounds and demand that Fernando drop to 155 pounds.

That being said, Hal Chernoff said enough is enough. They're going to find another fighter who wants to act like a fighter and go at it pound for pound without excuses.

As Fernando's record continues to go flawless, it makes finding competitors far more difficult. Mind you, there are fighters out there who can fight Fernando with excellent records but these are people with 25 Professional fights under their belt and that's a lot more experience than Fernando has and they don't want to move him up too fast and destroy a lifetime worth of hard work at someone else's expense.

Those fighters with similar records to Fernando are scared to death of him and they should be. Sooner or later they'll have to bite at one of these other more experienced fighters but for right now it's just too early in his career.

This means we have to sit back and wait to see who they bring to the table. It should be exciting to see who bites and comes to Salisbury for the ESPN2 Fight.

I was told as of the other day they have sold 1,385 tickets already. Not too shabby! We need to continue supporting this young man and show these big Networks that Salisbury is a great place for Boxing.

To purchase tickets visit www.WicomicoCivicCenter.org, visit the Civic Center Box Office (open Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm) or call 410-548-4911 to charge by phone.

Ticket prices are as follows:

2nd - 6th Rows Ringside, $100 plus fees
Remaining Floor, $50 plus fees

What happens if they get no one to fight Fernando? I bought my son tickets for Christmas.

He's scared he's going to lose and miss his chance at that title fight in his future. I wouldn't look for him to win the title fight then. I'd like to see Fernando fight Rosado but I'd watch him fight anyone.
