The Daily Times produced an interesting article on anonymous comments which could finally turn the Internet around. I for one am for our Government to have access to ALL anonymous commenter's. I believe it will set a balance in which people will think twice about defaming someone. I have always felt people should use their name and stand behind what they say or don't say it at all.
While I regret that a-holes like Barrie Tilghman and Chief Webster, (people in power) would abuse it and go after anyone saying anything negative about them, they should not worry about people like them at all. Keep in mind, we might just fine the Chief of Police and the Mayor behind many comments as well? I mean would you believe Chief See or Deputy Chief Gordy have NEVER posted a comment on the Blogs?
You see, Barrie Tilghman is a PUBLIC FIGURE and she's so stupid, she's suing me in the hopes that the rules can be changed in her favor. As long as you do not knowingly and willingly make statements that are a complete lie about one of these people, there's NOTHING they can do to you and I'm about to prove just that this coming January 21, 2009.
It's going to be GREAT to go after all those people who caled my Wife, In Laws, Children and Grandson defaming names. Lawyer up people, your time is coming.

Even with IP addresses, I think you'll find it difficult and costly to prove who some of the anons are. Now I suppose they could make the party responsible for the internet connection liable, but I highly doubt it.
Now for those who have registered user names, that could be a complete story all together. Guess, we'll see where it all goes. My guess is Nowhere.

First of all, stalking is illegal, just ask Chief Webster.
Secondly, where do you have "ANY" proof I staled anyone. While you're anonymous and in hiding, I still challenge you to tell everyone here what public figure I ever stalked.
That being said, the rules are the rules anyway. Once you are a Public Figure yu're on the job 24/7. I guess I was stalking Comegys when his vehicle was parked in the cemetery all those time too, right? I live in Delmar, DE. and I just happened to always be in the right place at the right time, right? Or do you think that perhaps I get tips?
No matter what you say, I have never needed something so bad tat I stalked anyone. Remember, I'm not selling papers here and making money at what I do.
Shouldnt the slime focus on the imporatant news they fail to publish instead of trying to pick on people who hurt there feelings with comments. i don't think they deserve any praise here.
I don't get the Tilghman Times, so I didn't read this. This is as one reader stated recently here "The US Version Of The USSR" To think a Mayor has nothing better to do than chase down her critics. She doesn't have control of this site and she cant have that. Grow a spine woman ! Everyone has enemies and your no different. You aint going tp please everyone, so take the heat and roll with it.
This is why the citizens have had it with City Goverment. Everyday its another version of the Circus and its damn well embarassing. My advise to the old girl is to ride out her last days and never look back after April. You dont want to see the trail you left behind.
As for Joe and his site, I like it. It tells the truth and sometimes some toes get stepped on. Oh well ! Occassionally some people post some stuff thats out of control, but it passes like gas. If you dont like what others are saying then dont come here to read it. If you do then you only have yourself to blame. If you were doing a better job, then nobody would be saying anything bad. Grow a spine, some thicker skin and just get over it for god sakes.
So what does this mean for the everyday folks here. Should we all run and hide because the Big Bad Wolf is pissed. Without annonymous post, i doubt there would be many posting. Why is there an annonymous button at all ? If I dont like what is going on in the City this is the place to speak my peace. They wont listen to you any other time. Joe and SBYNEWS get results. The Mare may not like it. but Joe makes corrective actions happen. Without this site, the City would continue to fall apart and nothing would get done.
Joe might just find out he is wrong about all these people he has been accusing on this blog! He didn't have any problem talking about Gary Comegy's not paying child support and how wrong it was, however he forgot to look in his own household closet. Check it out and you will see excactly who wasn't paying child support.

You'd have to physically see someone posting to make it stick. This is much to do about NOTHING.
It's just a ploy to get people to love a little more and hate on a little less.
