Did the investigators prove the photo was sent form her phone to his? There is a thing called Photoshop. Could be a horny teenager who had a little crush on his friends Mom who wanted more and maybe she denied him and since he didn't get what he wanted he then fabricated a story and photo. This is his word with a photo that was viewed. Where's the proof it was sent from her phone to his? Maybe he, at the borhtday party took her phone and she had the photo on there maybe for her husband and the kid used her phone to send it to him.
I don't know any of the people involved in theis case but seriously there could be way more to this so don't jump the gun too fast. Again there are two sides to a story and until there is proof (phone text records proving it was sent) then really this is just what they kid provided, and it may all be a hoax, the phot that is. There can be many different ways for this to fall out so don't say this is all the proof, it's not. You don't know the whole story, just what you

The kid could have very well taken her phone at anytime and looked through her own personal photos and saw his chance....You don't know f the phot was on her phone meant for her husband and the kid saw the chance and sent it to him self. Everyone here, look at the western sky photo that Joe has posted this morning. This is a PERFECT example of Photo Shop. The clouds in the foreground are very close to the ground... looks like no more than 500- 600 feet. The clouds appear to extend over the mountain peaks/ formations in the background at an altitude of at LEAST 2500 feet.
This is a natural impossibility, as clouds would be different types at different altitudes, and be following air currents over the land. One will never see this in nature.

Its a hard pill to swallow when you think you are doing the right thing by your child putting them in private schools. Sheltering them from the pitfalls of the public school system can't be done. The level of academia might be better, that's about it. Kids can't be protected from the ills of society any longer, not with the technology available to them.
Parents were also very proud of their sons being altar boys in the catholic church only to find out the priests were molesting them. Kids in christian schools are no different. Perversion abounds in places you'd never dream.

The states attorneys office will cut a deal and we'll never know the real truth. If this were a man they'd spend every ounce of their budget making an example out of him. ASSUMING she did send the photo, that is not proof of 20+ counts of various sex offenses. It would amount to proof she sent a nude photo of herself, nothing more.

First of all, stop all the speculation about what could have happened. The facts that we have are that she was arrested and charged with certain crimes, and those charging documents are available to everyone. All this hypothetical dog doo is a waste of everyone's time. An alien could have landed and set these things in motion, so what? Just the facts!
Secondly, informing the community and then presenting the charging documents is a good community service. Joe is not the only one to do this.
Third, as long as this person charged is an adult, they are the one who is suppose to know right from wrong. That is why we have child predator laws. As much as we like to think our kids are smart, emmotionaly balanced, and able to raise them selves, they just aren't. They need adult supervision and discipline. They can't make rational decisions. It is never their fault when there is an adult involved.
Fourth, beyond reporting the facts, the rest of the commenting will only hurt both the ability to prosecute the charged, and the right of the defendant to recieve a fair trial. I'm sure that the defense will file a motion to move to another jurisdiction.
Fifth, The actions of the person charged do not refect any way on the school, the other teachers, the kids, or any other association this peson had. The person charged, if convicted, did this of her own free will. She did this by herself and it had nothing to do with Salisbury Christian, and other music program or director, or anything related.
This is still a wonderful safe school for anyone's kids to attend. These types of crimes will always happen no matter how many laws are on the books. We could have 2 police officers for every person, and these things will still happen.
I applaud the sherrif's office for their professionalism. This is one of the hardest accusations to investigate because of the possible outcomes. But it the end, I believe that the investigation was done well, and there is probably a lot more to do.
My thoughts and prayers go to all involved because this is something that shakes us to the core. This to will pass. The accused will have her day in court.

I have heard so many opinions on this woman because she was "godly" is the most common reason she is innocent.
Are people seriously that blindsided by religion? I mean are all of the priests and reverends or the past 40 decades innocent because they were also "godly"? Any one who knows anything about sexual predators knows there is a process for these sickos to follow. They befriend adults first, typically the parents of the child they are intending to sexual abuse. Next they typically become a very important role in many childrens lives. They become the childrens friend, they are often a major player in the kid scene, often as the overly available person to take children to or from places, or as a chaperone. They then begin to create a safe place for one or more children so they gain the childs trust to the point the child will entrust the adult with personal issues. Once this has been accomplished the preditor begins to make small subtle moves before eventually initiating or encouraging a physical relationship.
The charging documents are not altered and additional information pertaining to the charges can be found on the courts public record website. It saddens me that so many people who have children and have known this woman for years are more concerned with trying to prove her innocent than they are with talking to their own children to find out if anything happened to them.
This teachers myspace page is filled with children or very young adults. There is not one person who older than early 20's. To me that is a red flag right there. Pictures of her with boys on other peoples pages where she is hugging all over them are extremely questionable. She was becoming more bold because she knew she had gained peoples trust, that is exactly what child predators do. So sad that many people would prefer to defend someone like this than to defend the victims, some of which could very well be their own children.

OK....here's my take on this. I wasn't there so I don't know what actually went on. BUT as I read the application for statement of charges, I see probable cause that a crime was committed and that the teacher listed was A perpetrator of the crime. I say "A" perpetrator because of this... (Now don't get your panties in a knot over this....this is my opinion.)
Under Maryland law the age at which a person is deemed responsible for their own actions is 7. I know that's a little young as it relates to this case but bear with me on this. At the age of fourteen most human beings are feeling the effects of raging hormones and do routinely act on the emotions created by these hormonal surges. The issue I have is with the culpability of the participants. YES the PARTICIPANTS. There is little doubt in my mind that these events occurred as they are laid out in the application for SOC's. The elemnts of the crimes and the corresponding penalties are prescribed by legislation. If this woman is convicted she will be sentenced within these guidelines.
There is another issue here. What about the young man? With the information I've seen in the Application for SOC's, I don't see anything indicating that he was forced to do anything against his will. In fact, if I read it correctly, on one occassion, he actually searched for her in a house in which a party was taking place. It would appear that he located her and another sexual encounter took place. If that is a matter of fact we must look at things in a different light....right?
If the legal age for being criminally responsible is 7 yoa, and;
the other person alleged to be involved in the stated crime was 14 yoa at the time these crimes occurred, and;
the teenager was a willing participant with no force or threat of force employed to coerce him to perform the dirty deeds...
is he not a party to the crime rather than a victim? And if this were true, wouldn't he be subject to the punishments prescribed by law?
In summation...
I know that the legal age of consent is 16 yoa. I know that there is no excuse if this woman did what is alleged. If these facts are true, then she has committed a crime and should be punished accordingly. My question for you all is this.......
emotions aside - if he was a willing participant, isn't he just as culpable technically in light of the facts set forth in the application for SOC's?
As has been said before this is Wicomico County the best place to commit a crime with little time. You folks like stirring a pot of shit until you get no more stink out of it. In our wonderful country you are supposedly innocent until proven guilty but as I read most of your comments this woman doesn't even get a chance at a fair trial. I do not know either of the people involved in this and have no connections in the case.Could it be that the young man involved has a vivid imagination of what happened and is a compulsive liar to boot? Our police are way too often at times to jump to charging people with out also looking at the one that filed the report to start with! I am in no way saying either one of the two are guilty or innocent all I am saying is stop with stone throwing and let a judge with a jury of 12 or their piers find guilt or no guilt.
As for some of the folks on here with the lewd comments you people are some sick minded folks that need professional help more so than the woman involved with this mess.
We as a people should rally around both of these people and pray for a healing in their families.Stop and think about the whole situation this does not involve just 2 people it goes much deeper.This has turned the lives of many good people up side down. My question to all of you on this blog and other blogs is how or what would I do if this happened in my family?
I have been reading all of these comments and its unbelievable SO many have responded! There are actually more comments here than the Ray Lewis crowd fiasco. However, one question I would have is "Where was her husband in all of this"? Her myspace picture at one time (now removed) shows her and her husband looking very much in love. The whole thing just sounds too bizarre!
Another good questions was "ask his friends". Thats actually a good thought as most teenage boys would definately brag about something like this (if its even true) to all his guy friends. Seems to be lots of loopholes!
Just to add to 9:44's recounting of rules, a teacher should not be alone with a student of the same sex either. It's sad that such precautions must be taken, but we're in a different age now. As a teacher, I always tried to make sure that, if I was alone with a student (such as after-school make-up work), I had my door open and another teacher within close distance. It was as much to protect myself as it was to protect the student. Neither the student nor the teacher in this case should have let the opportunities have a chance to develop. I wonder what finally made the student come forward after "25" or so incidents of sexual intercourse?
I know why, so don't be too quick to judge this young man.
In due time ALL of the evidence will come to light and you'll see this isn't as complicated as one would think.
Quite frankly, I tip my hat to this dedicated young man and can assure you this entire fiasco was extremely difficult on this young man. That's al I have to say about that.
I cant wait till the truth is out in court and you'll be sitting on your little computer looking like a jackass for tearing this woman apart.... get a life and a real job joe... Mr semi retired?
