The PAC-14 Fiasco Continues

Citizens of Wicomico County are about to see their public access cable channel (PAC-14) handed over to a group of local agitators and Salisbury University.  This group will be wholly unaccountable to the taxpayers and cable ratepayers who will continue to foot most, if not all, of the bill.  This is the revised strategy of PAC-14 Director Mike Goodson, local left-wing activist Mike Pretl, Salisbury Mayor Barrie Tilghman, Councilwoman Louise Smith and various shills of the University.

Starting Monday we will begin another series on the revised plans to steal PAC-14 from the citizens and hand it over to a politically motivated special interest.

In the meantime, you may want to look back at our previous series:

My GOD!! Local agitators taking over PAC 14?!? I wonder how much air time you will be getting Joe. You've got to be one of the biggest pot stirrers in the area. A forum with the lack of checks and balances, such as those that REAL reporters have to follow, would be perfect for you.

Mr. Day's resignation is a good riddance. He was a Barrie plant on the board to try to bring off the coup by the cabal composed of Ms. Crockett, BPT, Louise Smith, Prince Philip Tilghman, Moonbat Mike Pretl and the others who want their personal propaganda outlet, paid for by the public, of course.

Hopefully this will be Barrie's last scam!

Anon 0946 -
Read the byline next time. Joe didn't write it. Address your complaints to me.

If you want a bunch of folk, unaccountable to the voters, spending your tax dollars - go ahead. You'll probably be the first one to bitch.

Good message G. A. I sure don't want to see that bunch running things at PAC 14. How do we go about preventing such a gaggle from running things at the TV station? Got rid of Day, now lets get rid of the rest of the boobs.

Understood who wrote the article and the reason that my comment was addressed to JOE, and not to your site, is that I wanted to make sure that JOE saw it.

I have no complaints to air. I just think that it's funny that "agitators" are being attacked about a public access channel, just like Joe has the right to say what he'd like on this site. I DON'T, though, think that you will see the people on PAC 14 professing to being the best news source around, as this site is.

Sorry for any confusion to you g.a.

just for the record... public access channels are supposed to be supported by funds from the franchise entity... comcast... which lobbied congress and received permission to pass the costs to the consumers... municipalities can negotiate for these entities to have to support public access channels without doing so... our county and city negotiators settled for way less than what they should have because they didn't ask what other counties were doing.

mike goodson is trying to rectify that through the task force that sets up pacs nationwide instead of through a board that negotiated a great deal for the cable company.

he is also trying to get the government away from trying to control it through the councils.

you say you want a non propaganda channel... goodson is trying... your uninformed blabbering on only helps the councils control something they messed up to begin with.

If I read correctly what G.A. Harrison has written, Mike Goodson is trying to "rectify" this by putting himself in charge with other hand-picked people instead of through proper channels (no pun intended, but it works).

Sounds just like Barrie Tilghman, who does things, then comes afterward to get her rubber stamp from council.

I think this is really smelly. Damn shame because I really like PAC14 for showing us the government meetings.
