Hello Everyone,
I would like to start by saying thank you all for remembering my daughter Christine. It will be a year today that my daughter went missing from Byrd Road.
So many things have come to pass...
Holidays,
Birthdays,
her sisters wedding and, now a new baby.
Oh, how she would have loved being called Aunt Christine. But this will never be.
Her daughter still cries for her mother.
A few months ago Haylie called me into her room and asked me, can you smell that? When I said no, she told me that she could smell her Mommy. My heart broke for her.
It has been so hard for our family. I cant tell you how debilitating it is to wake up every morning wondering where my daughter is, praying everyday that God would let us find her.
We know that she is no longer with us.
All we think about is bringing her home and putting her to rest. I hate knowing that she has been tossed aside like garbage. And that the people responsible are walking around free. If they only knew how much pain they have caused, maybe they would make it right.
The truth will set you free.
I pray that someone would come forward and put an end to our pain. I pray this everyday.
So if you are reading this....
Please help me bring my daughter home. Don't do it for me, do it for her children.
They need to know that their mother loved them so much that the only thing that would keep her from them would be death itself.
Thank you all, for your continued thoughts and prayers.
Lynn

This is heart wrenching. You and your family will be in our prayers. I pray you will soon have closure.
Why are the local agencies not working on this more intensively?
Lets put toghter a search of Byrd road, Im sure we can get hundreds of people to help.
Other than the two people who went to get their kid at school, who was the last person to see her before that? and when was that?
Name who is working the case what is the actual detectives name. That way if someone reading this has info they can contact him or her. Also consider a news conf. if the detectives are say you are hurting the case with this. They are not correct. A case that span over this period of time is very cold. I am not an expert but i do know that after the first 48 hours things the odds do not lend in favor of the investigator. You need to become your daughters advocate. The media is a great tool. Like this site Joe has can do a lot to bring in info. Have they used cadaver dogs ? There is also thermal imaging that is available. If in fact they have exhausted all thier leads they can apply for wiretaps but they are a resource burden and have to be manned 24-7. Good luck my heart goes out to you and your family. Who has this case ?
You and your family are in my prayers. I just went through this earlier this year with my daughter. We were able to find her and get her home. I really truly pray that will happen for you. Don't give up your faith and keep praying.
Ann 10:08 depending on why or how she went missing, the local agencies don't do as much as you would think. We were very disappointed in how the local news and police helped us.
I found this on Delawareonline.com today... Just thought I'd bring it to everyone's attention.
Hunters tracking in the Milford area discovered a decomposed body Monday afternoon in a wooded area behind a business, police said.
The hunters were behind Crop Production Co. on Rehoboth Boulevard at about 2:30 p.m. when they happened upon the remains, Detective Dwight Young of Milford police said.
The body, believed to be that of an adult, was so badly decomposed, the gender could not be determined, Young said.
The remains were turned over to the state Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy and to determine the identity.
Some personal property was found on the body, Young said.
"We're investigating on our end using the personal effects to identify the body as well," Young said.
Investigators could not determine how long the body had been there because of the presence of animals and the elements.
"We are actively checking the local system for missing persons," he said. "As for our department, we don't have anybody matching the remains."
Jay Lynch, of the state Department of Health and Social Services, said the medical examiner usually is able to identify these types of remains.
"We are successful most of the time," he said. "Sometimes, we have a tentative ID through personal effects, but, of course, those must be verified."
Depending on the circumstances, the timelines for establishing identity vary, Lynch said.
Once the victim has been positively identified and the next of kin notified, more information will be released, Young said.

The last I heard the Detectives working the case are Scott Mitchell, and Mike McDermott. Officers Trautman, and Kagan had also been involved but I don't know if this is still the case.
I was told that cadaver dogs were used, but the people who provided this service were never paid for their services.
Also, when the communitity got together to have a search they were told by the WCBI not to do it.
The cops know where these people live, why didn't they tap their phones?
I actually they believed it was a male
Who owns the property directly behind the farmhouse and barn? The triangle of wooded land bordering Byrd road and Bromley road.
You get permission to go on that piece of property and Ill search it myself. (on non hunting days).
Dive Team in Orange County, FLA have found a bag filled with bones including what is thought to be fingers and toes in the Little Econ River. The bag was weighted down with bricks and also contained toys.
Authorities are reluctant to say whether they belong to Caylee Anthony.
This little girl has been missing for over six months and no one has given up in trying to find her.
This just begs to ask ‘Why haven’t the nearby ponds and river been dragged to search for Christine Sheddy’?
Wymzie- Good question. I have been asking this myself since last year.
Why am I just now finding out about this?? Has this been on the local news?? And, tell me, was it broadcasted as much as some of the insignificant stuff is???

Yes there was blurb in the Daily Times when she first dissapeared and a follow up story on Wboc, but that was it.
Nothing more...no follow up after a couple of weeks then a couple of months.
I don't get local channels; was there a piece done today?
Somebody with a Delmarva Now Account should go ahead and put it on, but I think it will probably get more readers here.
Lynn, the ball is in your court...
Do you want to conduct a search?
It sounds to me like there are enough intersted folks here in Salisbury, and in Pocomoke that we could get together a search team.
It's up to you. Why don't you call the Detectives and ask if you can arrange it. They, I'm sure have the property owners names and numbers, and we can put this together.
Also, if anyone knows Divers who do this kind of thing, maybe they would be good enough to come down for a search as well.
Doug, I'm with you, the property needs to be searched and searched good.
There is no reason why a search could not be organized. Count me in as a volunteer to help in any way.

Just post it Wymzie and Ill be there, and I can probably get a few friends to come as well. Remember were dealing with hunting seasons so we would want to co-ordinate it with that. I have a salesman friend of mine who is a master diver, I will call him to see if he can find any divers that would volunteer their time. Permission to go onto these properties is a must though.
I'm on the layoff list and have time to go look. Just let me know when and where.
