two of the best leaders we have had in some time and you make fun of them. Look at what Bush has done, kept us safe, brought down gas prices, takes nocrap from Arabs. I just do not believe this, have you drank the punch also?

First of all it is have you DRUNK the punch not drank. Secondly he has lied to us, involved us in a war under false pretenses, bankrupted the nation and not paid attention to Afghanistan.

So many things go on behind closed doors in our government to uphold our freedom, that most people would not understand. Unless you've been close to high command, close to cabinet members or certain legislators, you cannot fathom why we do certain things.

No one really knows all the truths about what we do and why. The normal newspaper reading citizen is spoon fed little bits of information. However, the government could never tell us all they do. This includes all presidents. It doesn't really matter what party you are or aren't affiliated with.

President Bush has done a great job of taking the fight of our enemies into their land. He has kept this out of our country. History will prove that this was the correct thing to do. It's important to look at the big picture in life. Small minded narrow thinkers can't handle the complexity of what our world is today. Everything moves very fast, 24/7/365. There isn't as much time to put to thought what needs to be done, because if you do, tommorrow might not be there.

What we all need to do is to support all of our leaders. It's ok to disagree with them now and then, but at the end of the day, we are all Americans. This hatred that we breed against our own leaders is going to be the end of us. How much better would the conflict in the Middle East gone if we all supported this action? We would have been out a long time ago.

I guess that would make Obama the Great OZ. Nothing but a snake oil salesman with flashy words and fireworks. That was way too easy.

President Bush deserves alot more credit than he is given. He, like our current Prez Candidates, are not perfect. I can see only a few things he did wrong.
1-He waited til 2006 to pull out the Veto Pen.
2-He gave up on Social Security Reform, Oversight of Fannie & Freddie, and a few other important issued.
3-He didn't defend his policies enough, which let the media tear him to shreds. The people at Gitmo, for instance, were caught on the battlefields of Afghanistan, yet we're supposed to give them civil rights comparable to US Citizens? The Administration hasn't stressed these facts enough. I wonder if half the public is aware of this one fact, if they'd change their mind about these detainees. This is just one of the things he should be commended for, not criticized for bending the Constitution.

To any poster, put yourself in the President's shoes and see if you would have done the same. Or better yet, ask yourself what would AL Gore, or John Kerry do?
I'm glad for President GW Bush, he hasn't been perfect, but we could be worse off than we are now.

I'm with you on this one, Joe. How anyone can say Dubya has been a great president completely blows my mind.
