Lowering Of The Maryland State Flag To Half Staff

This is to advise you that Governor Martin O’Malley has ordered the Maryland State Flag flown at half staff immediately. This is in memory of Officer Richard M. Bremer of the Frederick Police Department, who died yesterday in the line of duty. The flag shall continue to be flown at half staff until sunset on the day of the funeral. This office will send an additional notice when the date of the funeral is released.

This action is taken under the Protocol for the Maryland State Flag. Any questions on the above should be directed to the Office of the Secretary of State.

After your post about the officer in Frederick that was killed I went searching for more information since my sister and her family live in Frederick. I have included 2 links.

what the f does this have to do with this brave officer dying? What a slap in the face...whoever put this link in about the saving on gas should be put away for life.

11:04 It actually has nothing to do with it. I happend to find that on the same webpage as the officers information and thought it would be interesting and fired off an email to Joe about it. I noticed you were quick to bash me about it, yet have no kind words about the officer. Shame on you.
