Yet another crime in Salisbury has not been reported. Last night, a female was shot in the back (spine area) on Bailey Lane on the "West Side". I guess the Mare and her flunkies don't think that anyone has police scanners, when they say that Salisbury has a "low crime rate"....yeah right. Just keep on lying to us, Barry Tilghman...you're days in office are numbered! What really disturbes me, is that the T.V. and radio stations are under her power too. I'm so glad that you aren't!"

They do still use radio so a police scanner will provide some insight, however they alao use cell phones too, we'll never know the actual true numbers for crime under this regime.
WBOC just reported two shootings last night. One on Bailey, female victim and another on Pochantas, the second shooting was at a vehicle, nobody reported an injury in that shooting, YET!
Hey folks... This shooting was in the county not the city...Just like the rest of them.. Let me give you all some advice on how to tell city vs county... ride around, anything with a Green St sign is the city. Anything with a white st sign thats in the county.

Anon 9:14 AM - What color would the sign be if the street is sitting right in the middle of the city BUT they pay no city taxes? That's the case on my street, one end of the street is in the city, so is the other end but they pay no city taxes. AND, the street sign is green. So what you are saying is not necessarily so. At our end we call City Police - at the other end they call Sheriff's Dept. Now, you tell me how stupid is that?
Tilghman is the mayor of Salisbury not Wicomico country. I think that is why the hair splitting. It was not under the mayor's purview in this case.

City or county does not matter. IT WAS A SHOOTING. The shooter of the lady that died in the booth street area has been arrested. It was cooperation among the agencys that made this possible. Solve the crime and prosucute the offenders.

THANK YOU!! That is my point exactly! The police agencies working together is wonderful. I just don't like the idea of certain people trying to pull the wool over everyone's eyes by talking about low crime. At about the same time last night, a man was hit on his bicycle in Pittsville. The news was quick to report that, but why didn't they report the shooting until later this morning?
Sadly, (so I'm told) it was a kid on the bicycle and he allegedly died from injuries.

It going unreported does not have anything to do with the mayor, I think thats what all the others are trying to get across! It was a county call therefore, its up to the sheriff to do the press release!
And I am sure when the "crime is low in Salisbury" speech came about she was not talking about county jurisdiction! That would be stupid to include an area not under her control!
Crime in the county is solved much faster than crime in the city. Why? Because Mike Lewis doesn't tie the hands of his investigators like Allan Webster does. Webster should do the right thing and turn the murder of the woman on Marvel Rd over to Mike Lewis, they'd have the murderer in custody lickety split.
Neither of these addresses is in the city limits of Salisbury. IF everyone wants to keep pointing out, accurately, that we have a crime problem around here - we should begin to report that it's a Wicomico County problem as well. That's all. It doesn't do any good to rag on the city, as if all of this crime is its' fault. This is our community, whether just inside the city limits, or just outside them!
Yes, it happened in Salisbury. but it was NOT IN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF SALISBURY! you are still blaming city politicians and city police for a crime that occured OUTSIDE THEIR JURISDICTION! you blame the city for a murderer that is still running loose for the industrial park homocide but you don't blame the sheriff for the murderer running loose for the homocide of a woman last month or this shooting. I thought this was an UNBIASED site!
